This isn't a very good lineup. Might have to treat Covington and DJJ kind of like Lillard/McCollum and almost always have one on the floor. There's way too many liabilities on defense in these bench lineups.

This team really needs to put more effort into rebounding it feels like every time Utah shoots the ball and it's a miss the ball hits the floor before anyone touches it.

I don't mind the team but for some reason Ingles always annoyed me. I can't even fathom why, but he just rubs me the wrong way.

Well, that was awful. The defense and rebounding in particular are not good. Part of this surely comes from the wonkiness of the offseason and trying to integrate many new players and re-integrate players who had been injured, but Portland can't afford to lose on effort against good teams.

Lillard needs to get going offensively as well. I like that he's trying to get guys involved, but him catching fire is probably the best way to get Portland back in it.

While the bench wasn't great defensively, I think the main reason they looked like **** on the offensive end is Melo trying to be the player he was 6ish or more years ago.

That bench is heavily going to struggle if the entire unit is built around giving Melo 80+% of the shots.

Well... that was fugly.

it's just game one, and a tough season to have a lot of change... but it's a tough schedule to start the season, so if they don't want to be in a hole early, they better figure this out... quick.
