This is sad to see but not unexpected.

My Nebraska Huskers buddy thinks McKenzie will end up in Nebraska (assuming Frost lives to work another year there) and that Frost has promised to teach McKenzie to coach.

Had to laugh at the shoe throw and what it cost them.

And in the biggest news of the day... KZ has decided to transfer to FSU. So strange seeing him associated with another program but I wish him luck.

Sounds like it's going to be UCF v. BYU in the Boca Bowl.

I think there's a good chance the Knights get smoked.

Wish him all the best. Guess I'll have to watch some FSU games next year and root for them? lol. Makes me kind of queasy. But I guess I can do it for one season.

Far better opponent than I was anticipating given the ACC teams were basically shutting it down. I think it's going to come down to the turnover battle. If our defense can find a way to force some turnovers and our offense limits our own, we got a good chance. But our defense is going to have a heck of a tough job. A lot of young guys going to have to step up.

if they do I think they've got to make a move on the coaching staff (Shannon as far as I'm concerned)

Curious to see what we look like tonight and who has opted out to get ready for the draft. BYU won’t be an easy matchup.

Oof. What a terrible showing. I know we were missing a ton of starters on defense and everything, but even the offense barely showed up. The dropped TD by Jaylen in the 1st really hurt as it turned a 14-7 lead into a 21-0 lead quickly and it went from "this could be a rollercoaster" into "we're gonna need a lot of breaks to go our way."

Anyone watch the basketball game? Outside of nearly blowing it at the end it was a good game. We've got a lot of really good players. Isaiah Adams has the potential to be our best player ever IMO, if he taps into that potential. Mahan is straight beasting this season. I expect his numbers to come down eventually once his percentages tail off but he's playing out of his mind.

Got blown out from the get go.
Heupel continues to prove me correct. Can't motivate worth a damn.
Randy is definitely getting fired.

Yea i think Randy has to go, if for nothing more than his price tag. I think Heupel's seat should be warm (if not hot) now. We were supposed to be REALLY good this season, even with the opt outs. We were talking about going undefeated again. I think next season if wins are 7 or less he's fired, 8 is a toss up, 9+ and he'll get some job security back. But he really needs to turn this around because the trajectory is troubling. We can somewhat wave off this season because of Covid but not really.

Heupel has made a roster filled with offensive explosiveness, boring. The run it up the middle and air it out offense is not only boring, but it's also just wasting away the talent on this roster. He doesn't know how to capitalize. I don't think Heupel is quite ready for a head coaching job. If he keeps this up, our ability to recruit well is going to start tanking.

Randy Shannon... good grief. Every game the commentators gloat about how great of a job he's doing. Now, I'll give him that we had a lot of defensive opt-outs, then we had guys get kicked off the team, but still. We have good defensive talent. Randy just can't put the pieces together. Terrible play calling.

His defense either generates a TFL or a 1st down, not much inbetween

Apparently a lot of players were in quarantine for the two weeks before the bowl. Makes sense for why they looked so unprepared.
