Really? You're going to bag on a rookie that saw 1 minute and 16 seconds of playing time? He's playing behind a slew of veteran guards, it's going to take some time for him to crack the rotation.

I think he looked better here than he did in the pre-season games, so it's good to see he's making progress.

He's highly likely to end up being one of the top three players in the draft. It's good to see that the Bulls saw that and picked him regardless of where he was projected to go.

5 assists (some great passes too)

Very good but one gripe is he is not much of offense player. Needs to take at least 10 shots even though he is a great two way wing.
His season will be determined on 3ball.

So far he's also a pretty poor rebounder for his size, strength, and athleticism. 3 rebounds tonight in 34 minutes isn't great. In preseason, he played 110 minutes and had 7 rebounds. SEVEN. That's 1 rebound every 16 minutes, quite horrible for any player regardless of size or position.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Okoro a lot, I think he could be great, but he has to get a mindset to go after boards.

That's the weirdest criticism I've seen about a player haha

Okoro is a SG/SF, why are we worrying about his rebounding rate 4 games into his career? Another reason you have to remember that he will never have high rebound totals is because the Cavs have a insane amount of rebounding bigs like Drummond/Nance/Love/McGee.

Those guys are there to get the boards while the Guards sprint down the floor the other way

Patrick Williams will be the best two way wing this draft which is the most valuable piece in modern NBA.
Bulls got their Tatum/George they are Cade/Suggs away from perennial championship contenders.
Guaranteed 1st rookie, all NBA defense and is a top 20 player projected with his DPOY level defense able to guard 5 positions. Thats worth gold at least 3 unprotected picks closer to Tatum.

Right now, i would think abt whether to give him up for top 3pick prospct this yr plus unprotected.
He is the best prospect since youngest MVP and youngest starter in Bulls history already 2nd best player on team.

Jimmy Butler gave me all star vibes but prospect wise Pdub murders Butler skill wise its not even close it aint even funny.
His mid range is as wet as MJ and 90% of his shots doesnt even hit the rim goes straight to basket like Ray Allen.
Just based on 1 game, I would take Pwill as a prospect over Butler, Lavine, Carter, White combined.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Being second best player on the bulls already isn’t saying much tbh.

What's there to say? he is the number one pick. I expect him to have an up and down season.

Wiseman looks huge. Flashing some skills. Think he's going to be good.
Edwards looks like Jason Richardson. Power guard. Liked what I saw last night.
Avidja is smooth. Makes the right plays. Needs more touches on that Wiz team. Russ and Beal dominate the ball. Should've had more assists last night.
Haliburton. As a Kings fan, I'm thrilled to have him on the Kings. Makes everyone around him better on both sides of the ball. I think he's going to be the best two way player from this draft.
Williams looks like a modern day wing. Game doesn't look to fast for him.

Doesn't make my statement any less true.
He'll probably be a perennial allstar in a couple years.

The progress Pat Williams has made as a player, especially in terms of offensive arsenal, from his last college game to last night is just phenominal. He is showing some of those flashes that you got from Leonard and PG13 after they were drafted as 3/D guys and suddenly were making star moves. Pat has a great chance to be in that mold IMO.

Edwards looked much more comfortable out there maybe shook off the jitters in preseason. Powerful not afraid to use his body to get to the basket.

This sequence to me is a perfect example that the stat sheet doesn't tell the whole story of how good a player is:

Yep alot of us knew this draft was pretty deep. Not surprised at all that guys outside the top 3 (Williams, Okoro, and Avdija) are making a smooth transition as they are all going to be good players in this league. I watched a bit of the Cav/Cha game and clearly Okoro is already the best defensive wing on that Cavs team. He fits them like a glove. Happy to see that Cle, Chi, and Wash added really nice players. I'll put Haliburton in that class too based on pre-draft research but haven't watched him play yet. Won't be surprised at all if these kids end up better than 1-2 of the consensus top 3.

As for Ball the kid is a 2 year project. Hopefully Charlotte can develop him properly. Lamelo really needs to put an emphasis on playing defense and making the simple passes at this point.

This video looks like that situation when a pro comes with the determination to do everything in his power to win some pickup ball playing alongside amateur scrubs, but the scrubs are continuously doing their best to mess everything up. Avdija is the pro, Westbrook and Thomas Bryant are the scrubs.

I honestly like all the rookies in the top 10 except Ball  I hope he gets it going for the sake of Hornets fans but I really dont see it happening.

Yeah... and honestly it doesn’t help Ball that the Hornets always have 2 other very solid pg options on the roster.. so whenever he’s stinking it up they won’t hesitate to pull him
