That would be awesome (although improbable in 16 min a game?? he has that kind of pull?) as we need more elite talent like Cade or Mobley or Suggs or Green

Nah. Can’t speak for others but I wouldn’t. Yeah, how you carry yourself and how you do things matter. Otherwise it emboldens other people do things as you’ve done. That is a gigantic problem.

never hated any basketball player in my life, but started with ball family. I don't wish them bad, because it's already happening

Haliburton rookie of the year lets go!

In all seriousness I never got the hype with this kid. Lonzo 2.0 with an even worse shot. I know its 1 game and he will probably figure it out, but I don't see a superstar here.

that's a very high standard you're setting. bj,,,errr ummm, brandon jennings to be clear, is the cockiest player in my recollection

did you know in high school he berated teammates for not finishing and thereby depriving him of more dimes. possibly the most selfish act of an unselfish stat.

I feel for Hornets fans, as it’s the same level of ire Bagley gets on Twitter

Some just can’t let a young player develop

i watched some of the game, he was def nervous and rattled, blew defensive cover after cover but that can be corrected and pointed
out to him in the film session, &
and its only the first game of the season, last i checked Jamal murray, Dame lillard and Danny green all had horrible nights tonight, the kid had a goose egg, he'll get 71 more chances to not do it again

No the Cavs are not. NBA talent and quality players can be found at every position. Not a playoff team but definitely not the worst in the East.

We need to talk about how great the cavs played especially Sexton. Great night for them yet. I loved the ball movement and teamwork. Nice change if pace from iso ball. Bickerstaff can stay the coach as long as he likes.

Lol at ball tho.

I said he'd be a defenceless Rubio and it seems like he will, atleast for the short term.

Not the worst outcome but like Lonzo significantly lower than initial expectations.

Didn't come remotely close to saying a gift is a sign of bad parenting. I even went a step further to make that clear by saying "I'm not commenting on his parenting one way or another."

I was doing the same as you....reading more into a comment. Comprehend that

I wasn't saying that buying expensive gifts is the sign of a good dad either.

Then maybe you shouldn't have used him buying fancy cars for his kids as an example of him not being a horrible dad? :dontknow:

Alright man, this person that I was originally replying to made multiple posts and started topics based on hating Lamelo Ball and just the family in general. I made an off the cuff response to him. If you'd like to read into that response of how a gift is the defining factor of a good parent then so be it.

These gifts were given prior to large moments in his kid's lives (the draft and going to college). I don't see what the big deal is. To give someone a gift rewarding them for the hard work is not a sign of a bad parent. A few years ago, many thought that Melo had no chance at the NBA so I'm sure Lavar is a proud parent.

If these gifts were small and didn't cost much, then no one would care...but now that they're expensive then people make a big deal. You read into my comment that spending money makes a good parent when I said nothing of the fact.

We all knew the first game would decide for good whether Ball was a bust or a future first-ballot Hall of Famer. Now we must accept fate, it is set in stone.
