First game of the season. What to expect: Lots of energy, shaking the rust off a bit, play the matchups to the Grizzlies favor, take the Spurs seriously as they will not be easy to contend with regardless of their situation.

Ja is so so good. But that was an ugly game outside of him. The West is going to be rough.

If Ja keeps playing like that, we aren't getting a good pick in this draft haha. He'll will us to enough victories.

I missed the game but Ja scoring 44pts indicates what you're saying Vic about none else showing up. If the team was playing well Ja wouldn't have been forcing his.

I was expecting the starting unit to struggle defensively with Allen over Melton. That's 3 sub defenders in the starting unit. 130pts says they did. Who was guarding DeRozan ? because you need to put size & length on him.

With the strong schedule to start & 3J out for the first quarter, are we stealth tanking out the gate for a slow start ?.

Ja is a superstar. He looked like it in preseason but I was wary due to the competition. He definitely has top 5 player in the league upside which means we should have a title shot at some point in the next 5-10 seasons.

Crazy times for Grizz fnas.

Regardless if the sports media respects it or not, the Grizzlies have a breakout superstar on this team. His name is Ja Morant!

Respect his worth or don't.

Their choice.

Ja is with great company. Just continue to put in work and build around this special player and the future is bright for the team in Grizzly Blue.

Just watched the Morant highlights from this game. Couldn't help but notice on several of his drives he was fouled with no call, while Spurs were +20 on the line.

Yeah he wasn't getting any calls till the very end of the game. At some point that'll change though.
