Bacon is just a guy, but with Ennis injured, I'm not sure Clifford has a better option at the moment.

Gordon can defend wings, but we all know he's a natural PF. Okeke is a PF. Clark is a PF.

The only other option would be to chop the rotation down from 10 to 9, but I don't think Clifford is going to do that this early in the year.

IF Bamba can get healthy, I wouldn't mind trying to snag a SF from WAS, they have a couple young ones, and Troy Brown Jr. for Birch would help both teams and money matches.

Note: both Magic and Nets send their first overall pick to Indiana since they are "biggest loser" but they also are not crippled.
Brogdon -Dinwiddie combo allows Brogdon to go back to bit more natural SG spot but both are capable of playing both guard positions.

Magic get SG of future ,SF of present/future that can come off bench or start and Allen on paper does not have Bamba's potential but has much better motor.

Oh and Nets are stacked as *** and probably title favorites.

I like the sentiment, but I think it’s an overpay for Orlando by adding a pick . You probably don’t need Indiana in the deal at all.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7qe6kvg

Lineup becomes-

Fultz/Cole
LeVert/Ross
Kurucs/Bacon
Okeke/Prince
Vucevic/Birch

Basically comes down to AG and a Fournier rental for LeVert and cap match. Kurucs gets a shot at minutes in Orlando with the issue of multiple injured forwards.

I actually want to move away from Ross to give Okeke and Cole some space to do anything. As long as Ross is around, Orlando Magic bench will be him taking every single shot from that unit.
And i did not use Evan in trade because , as i wrote later, i want him and Prince to expire to create some cap space and money flexibility.

I WOULD do Pepe's trade but would prefer a simpler one just based on AG for Levert. I really value Ross and Bamba's ceiling/value exceeds Allen's. If I had to include a heavily protected pick to AG to get Levert-I would (but I'm not sure it's necessary-how about a couple seconds?). I've been evangelizing on how good AG would be on BRK and, hopefully, BRK FO sees that. Sometimes, even if value isn't perfect, the trade is good -especially, if you're a legit contender that just needs a tweak.

I get it.

I’d still rather the Magic get something for Fournier, rather then him just expire for nothing. With Ross it’s hard to find a guy willing to come off the bench and bolster an offense. Cole Anthony will have ups and downs like every other rookie. Okeke doesn’t necessarily strike me as a “go out and get my numbers” kinda guy. Hard to see this FO moving anyone at this point.

Who strikes you as the player the Magic could go after in exchange for Fournier?

Evan was very good on the defensive end, he is becoming a good 2 way player

I like our fultz - Evan backcourt

This team is deep

We r just missing a beast sf

Must have watched a different game from a different season or era. Fournier has never been a good defender, not even average.

Regarding the Miami game, he was late on screens, outplayed on dribble penetration all the time and simply destroyed by Jimmy Butler in the third quarter. It was ugly, not even funny.

Replay the 3rd or before that and tell me again the French croissant somehow became a tough defender...making me laugh. :D

Hard to say. Mainly because he would be a rental at this point for a team that believes they are a minor piece away from championship contention. Packaged with another player makes him more movable.

Ideally Orlando would want to get a player with a higher ceiling that can be an investment to go along with Isaac, Fultz, Cole, and Okeke.

My thoughts in a situation like ours is that maybe it's possible to trade for another vet plus a young player who has yet to be given minutes on a team roster due to depth issues. I know that part is a gamble when you take that shot in the dark. At this point, the Magic have nothing else to lose. They have not improve their position nor completely worsen it just yet. It's inevitable that they will have to make some changes and reset the roster when the time is right.

Was impressed by the defensive work to limit the amount of damage the Heat caused with their 3-point shooting. I can't recall many instances where the likes of Herro/Robinson were left completely open, with the defence instead forcing them into trickier scenarios.

AG and Fournier impressed massively, both were excellent in the roles they took up last night, Fournier especially when contrasted with Ross who was able to cause all kinds of issues with his ability to find space and drive at defenders. It was nice to see Fultz maintain his confidence when letting shots fly - really threw up a new dimension of his offence when he was actively looking to shoot from the dribble.

Big credit to MCW coming off the bench as well, his effort levels really appeared to rub off on the rest of the team down the stretch.

Evan had himself a night. I love Mcw and Birch’s hustle. Good hard fought win.

Wow.. so you want us to give AG, MO, Ross and our most likely lottery pick for Allen and Levert?
AG is better than Levert by itself. Mo is likely an Allen copycat when healthy.
Are you serious?

All that to get levert instead of Evan lol

We should not be in the business of helping the Nets win a title. We do that for the Lakers.
