What a class act. Great college and NBA careers. Great coach on the 80s team. Lot of Celtic legends have passed away recently.

Sadly they are all at the age where this will come rather quickly for that era of stars. RIP KC Jones.

Such a kind soul. I attended KC Jones Basketball School 3 years during the 80s (Jerry Sichting took over the 3rd year as KC was let go as Cs coach. Name turned to All Pro Basketball School. He was the nicest man. Still have his autograph. RIP KC.

My favorite Celtic coach. Most underrated in NBA history. Pure and simple....a winner on and off the court.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

KD and Kyrie will sit. Make our run. Then defend like crazy from here on out.

Re: KC Jones has Passed Away
He was kinda the Ty Lue of the last two 80s Championship Celtics team. Not the best coach out there but knew how to manage the talented moody star as he delivered. And of course a talented bench player who helped us get a few more rings as well.
I know it's Casey rather than KC but hearing his name always made me smile when I heard this song even if it clearly had nothing to do with him.

Never said he wasn't a good coach. But Bird at that stage in his career didn't need or want a Bill Fitch. But someone who will set him free to do his own thing. He was exactly what Bird needed.
And the teams he was on were legendary. A role player only means he played next to folks like Cousy, Russell, Heinsohn, Sherman, Sam Jones, Hondo, etc, etc. HOF he still is.
