Gotta love watching a Lebron team's offense not go to **** when he's on the bench.

AD's playoff jumper is just his regular jumper now. He's basically unstoppable now being able to shoot like this.

This was an impressive win. Lakers have a legit mini 1-2 punch with their two new significant pieces

Wes Matthews was the only player with a negative +/-. Caruso +10 in 13 minutes again. THT had a good 4 minutes when the game was in contention and then plays hungry in garbage time. Caruso and THT also play well together.

Deepest team James has ever had. He’s just messing around out there right now and the Lakers still look incredibly difficult to defeat.

There was this possession where schroder tried something, didnt work, dumped it off to AD and got it back immediately, PNR with Harrell, he gets doubled and he IMMEDIATELY jump passes to a wide open AD slightly behind him for a wide open 3. He looked amazing.

Harrell’s like a garbageman on offense. Somehow he’s making contested baseline j’s, random and1s, random putbacks and he has an uber efficient 20 without rrally disrupting the flow of the offense. Made some good pass outs too when doubled - he could be a little quicker on those but overall, still great. Couple of times i felt he was overeager on D and probably some miscommunication there as well, but he can’t really do aanyhing on those lobs to bojan (lol), otherwise he’s been pretty decent containing dribble drives

And I mean if AD keeps shooting like this and continues to improve his passing and playmaking won’t be long before he wrests the crown from Bron

Schroder and Trez were great. Don't think this team will be out of the top 10 offenses this year. They're gonna put up a ton of points with AD/LeBron and those two. Not even counting Kuzma too

Theyre def in their own tier again like last year. Will prolly still lose a couple playoff games more than last year but something like 16-7

Chiefs and Lakers are def repeating tho

Great game on offense by the lakers!

The only thing is that LBJ's shot selection was questionable in the second half, but I'm not worried about that

Worth mentioning the lakers were a top 3 offense pre bubble, and were ATG+ During the playoffs in offense outside of the bubble

Schroder and harrell are an amazing combo, more than that were still figuring things out, but kuz looks more comfortable and operating more off ball this years gonna help him

Once we get gasol more acclimated we'll be elite on D too.

Didn’t know Harrell could hit baseline jumpers like that. Thought he was just a paint guy.

Yeah they finished 11th on offense overall, but most of that drop was due to the bubble, where they were dead last during the regular games, and we all know they cared more about their Madden tournament than the basketball games during that time. They were 4th when the league stopped in March, and were in the top 5 pretty much all year before that.

If he can make one of those a game, that would be awesome. Might open things up for his drives and post-ups.

This Lakers team is infinitely more fun than last year's group. And I really liked last year's team (altho what Lakers fan didn't like last year's squad??)

I kinda did. Posted a few times about how optimistic I was on his defense in the offseason. I didn't watch a ton of OKC games but their fans were raving about his defense last year and he certainly passed the eye test from the games I watched. And defensive metrics pegged him as one of the best guards in the league.

I knew he had a good season last year on defense. I thought it was absurd people were saying Lakers were gonna miss Rondo's playmaking and defense since we replaced him with Schroder. Better at defense and his passing is excellent too

AD is still a beast and its great to see his jumper working

I hope Lebrons jumper or at least his 3 pointer stays around 2017-2018 range or even his miami days. Looking good so far

Schroeder has been great on offense and looks good defensively from what I can tell, pesky

Gasol has been awful so far, maybe working himself into shape

Trez has looked ok on defense, not a sieve so far

Wes has been useless it feels like as a DG replacement

Hows matthews defense been? You dont expect him to be as good as green because of the upgrade of schroder from rondo tbh

Seen some good possessions and some bad ones, so up and down, too early for me to tell

His defensive metrics were great last year so I hope he can stand out a bit more

They actually entered the bubble as a top 5 offense last season. But they couldn't hit a shot for most of those 8 regular season games and dropped down to #11, which I would consider very misleading. Once they found their rhythm they were fine. They finished the playoffs with the 2nd best ORTG (#4 when adjusted for opponents' defensive strength).

And this year's roster is notably more talented offensively than last year's. No chance they finish outside the top 5.

Lebron is drifting forward on his threes a lot in the first couple games, maybe an intentional change to try and draw some BS 3 shot fouls?

Last season only about 7% of his shots were outside 10 feet and for his career he only shoots 33% on those, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for it to be any sort of real weapon. But even outside of the jumpers he looked great tonight and I expect him to help them a lot in the regular season, the question with him is whether or not he can hold up deep in the playoffs.
