Yeah, it wasn't about Joker, it was about the abysmal defender that Doc kept putting out there to "guard" him all series with no adjustments.

Everything looking good. The Nuggets overachieved because they had nothing to lose and were in WTF mode. Hairy shots went in.

Clippers choked. Nothing at risk here in the 2nd game of the regular season.

Ibaka just picked up his 4th foul with over a quarter and a half to go. Joker is already 17-7-8. My only point here is that Joker is way good and is killing it tonight too. It was never about Joker. It was never about the 5.

You just know Doc would have misused and benched Batum just like he did with Milos, Boban, and others.

The team defense, the communication, the effort...24 dimes on 28 field goals. This is beautiful, and without having a cry baby in the locker room, and an actual coach with leadership qualities, I expect it to continue

And Morris isn't even back. Batum will be taking Pat Pat minutes so him playing this much is temporary but damn this signing is looking like a hell of a steal

Morris comes off the bench when he gets healthy. Keep starting Batum by all means

PPat has been solid out there too with his energy and boxing out, just shows how deep this team is.

Batum is a godsend... bring Morris off the bench?

Lou, Kennard, Morris and Zu is a nasty back-half of a 9 man rotation with PG or Klaw rotating through the SF spot. (and I love how coach Lue is using those occasional zones to help cover Lou and Kennard being out there together)

I didn't want to jump the gun and say it after last game, and two games would still be jumping the gun, BUT, Batum has hundreds of game history that shows he can do all these things.

I've had the same thought that Batum's jack of all trades master of none skills on both ends actually really needs to be on the floor with George and Kawhi as much as possible.

PG is cooking right now...

And Batum is really good as a glue guy. Smart, doesn't force anything, moves the ball... I'm liking him a lot.

100%, could also give him Bev's spot, except when playing small and quick PG's.

Speaking of Bev, he needs to stop fouling so much.
