Moses Moody has been great this season. he's exactly what we need: a 3&D wing. he's not just a 3PT shooter, he's a legitimate 2-way player

we all know this FO is about connections, luckily Thibs is good friends w/ Arkansas HC Eric Musselman

dream scenario is getting Suggs w/ our 1st pick, Moody w/ the Mavs pick

The need for a star lead guard after watching Payton play tonight ... :banghead:

But seriously, IQ played very well in his limited min and we need to see more going forward , but if we can land ourselves a Cade or Suggs with our first choice and draft a Knock down 3 point shooter with our Dallas pick (Moody) , I’ll be running butt naked through the streets.

Select a backup C (Drew Timmie) with Detroit 2nd and a SF with Charlotte 2nd (Franz Wagner)

RJ looks like he’s ready to take the next step as our star SF when he had shooters on the court with him .

Plug a dynamic scorer / playmaker like Suggs at our lead guard and let IQ come off the bench and lead our 2nd unit :P

Suggs / IQ
Moody / Rivers
RJ / Wagner
Obi / Knox
Mitch / Timme

Then we could finally flip Mitch + Green for JJJ + Ziaire!

Huh? Why would you trade down the 2nd overall pick?? If you want Ziaire and think he's that good just pick him at #2. JJJ alone want move the needle to trade that far up

Wasn't being serious, I've just been joking about turning Mitch into 3J since we drafted Obi

I do love me some Ziaire, but I don't think he's going to get to show enough on-ball at Stanford to genuinely push into the top 4...would happily take him at #5 though.

To me he's a white version of Jahlil Okafor. But slower, and with shorter arms. The lack of quickness is going to be his main issue in the NBA.

Draft Mobley with DAL pick, draft Ziaire with our pick, flip Mitch + whatever we get in-season for Keon Johnson and flip our SRPs for Scottie Lewis.

Rebuild done.

Can't even get excited for the draft. You know GSW will get 2 top 10 picks and screw the Knicks over twice. Not even going to care. Can't get excited over these top prospects when the Knicks won't get one.

So I was having a discussion earlier with the fam and wanted to see what you guys thought. This draft is full of talent and a good candidate for trade up scenarios but our cupboard is bare. Would you trade up for a solid player in this draft or stay put with our two seconds to add more talent to the bench? Kinda torn on this to be honest but we do need some positive veteran leadership on this team. Problem is that those types of veterans rarely choose to join a rebuild and prefer to ring chase.

One perk of Kentucky not having a veteran PG is that Clarke & Boston will be perfectly prepared for playing on the knicks...

FWIW I'm starting to like Clarke in the (late) teens

That's why you have to overpay them.

You can't expect anything from a second-round pick. You have about a 10-15% chance of drafting a rotation player in the second round, so you can't expect to build depth with your second-rounders. Mitch is the exception, not the rule, and he still has a lot to prove in the NBA.

I'd definitely use those second-rounders as sweeteners in the right deal, and maybe hold on to one or two and hopefully find a steal in the second round.

Also I’m glad that the FO sees RJ as a SF. We can easily get our ideal pg or sg this draft.

I'm as big a Suggs fan as anyone but that FT shooting is....ewwwwwwwww for a point guard.
