I'm just glad that Minny passed on Ball. We need that pick to be closer to #5 than to #10.

All that really matters.

And I don't get the unfiltered love for Ball I'm seeing. The questions about his game are still there.

I'm glad they passed on everyone else picked in the top 12 or so.

I"m glad we didn't draft Toppin....man he is soooooo awkward laterally. I see a career of getting smoked on cross overs at least once a night.

Too many hot takes. Ball could still be great and could be a bust ... it's just that too many people are too extreme on him. It's going to take time to find out what he is. Same was true for Lonzo.

I will forever mock anyone who thinks a guy who can't defend and can't shoot will be anything more than an average starter at best

I liked Lonzo coming out of college, not as much as Fox. I thought it was obvious based on matchups between the players at that level that it was Fox>Lonzo>Fultz. You can’t teach Fox speed, reminded me of how young Rondo was just blistering fast.

I think LaMelo has a higher ceiling than Lonzo, taller and more irrational confidence which is just aggressiveness.

Actually Deni is the guy I wish we had another pick to grab, he just has those point forward skills and ability to see the floor. He can pass and handle the rock without needing it all the time like a lot of guys.

Wall is fast, elite athlete, made several all-star teams, got a super max contract. But just not consistent a shooter to be able to carry his team.

That may be Fox's fate.

It's not that he can't shoot and can't defend ... it's that so far he hasn't shown it. He can still add that to his game. He's a young rookie.

Lonzo has the same issues he had when he was drafted, he seems afraid to have the ball on occasion, is a smart defender, can't/won't shoot from outside and has a limited repertoire around the basket.

Um, he shot 37% from three last season. Had a great game last night I think.

I’m still a fan lol. His vision and playmaking is fun to watch. He shouts horribly like everyone predicted, his defense isn’t as bad. Also like he’s a rebounder - always see Lamelo going for the rebound.

Big Lonzo fan here too. Much improved shooter than when he was a rookie. He’s a point guard every team would love to have. I don’t see all-star in the future, but very solid point.

Would never have drafted him at 2, just like his brother. But he’s fine. And he’s the most like able of all the Balls

The games I saw last year he was still slow and awkward from 3 but you are right he took a lot more than I thought last year, and looking at his games he was well under .300 for most of his games, but he had a number of exceptional shooting games too.

So, yeah, he's still getting better.
