Oubre is in a super bad slump right now. It's actually amazing how bad he has been these first two games. To attempt that many shots and miss all the non-dunks? Including layups? Damn!

anything 0fer is a slump for sure, but who's bright idea was it that oubre was a difference maker to begin with.

I always liked his energy in DC but he’s never been a particularly good basketball player. Great athlete, motor and competitor, he’s fine in a bench role coming in for 20 mins a night and proving energy and some highlight plays, but he shouldn’t be starting on a team with playoff/finals aspirations. There’s a reason why Phx got a lot better without him in the bubble last season, and why they didn’t lose any sleep trading him.

He’s not good enough as a shooter or cutter to be effective off the ball, and when he does have the ball and is asked to create something, he’ll more often than not make the wrong decision. His defense is overrated. He’s a pest that can get some deflections here and there, but overall he’s a net negative on that end because of his low bball iq.
