Wiseman is the real deal. Looks like a hybrid of Jermaine O’Neal/Chris Bosh to me. Total beast.
I think a lot of big men could, but coaches don't allow it. Kerr is doing a good job of giving him freedom to be who he is.

I mean it’s pretty easy to understand if you just take a look at the Wolves roster for a second. The Wolves want to have some defense next to D Lo/Beasley. In addition, Culver/Okogie lineups don’t have enough spacing or shot creation (or at least historically haven’t) and were the Wolves worst lineups. Add in Rubio and that spacing and primary penetration ability is next to zero.

Edwards coming off the bench to start gives the second unit a much needed scorer. In addition, the Wolves want to play Edwards with Rubio who is a steady veteran, good communicator, great playmaker, and great at getting the ball to teammates in the right situations to help them succeed.

The Wolves stagger lineups and don’t do hockey switches. Edwards was in the second group on the team in minutes behind Towns, D Lo, Okogie in game 1. He, Rubio, and Beasley all averaged 25-27 minutes.

Edwards is just disqualified for Roy bc he will never start on a deep team and will not get opportunities.
This also means the number 1 pick is not as good as Beasley who plays same position as him.
First game he was on the verge of chucking glad it ended at 5/12 bc it would have been ugly.

Umm, are you okay???

Okongwu will not be cleared until Monday at the earliest. Its crazy but Capela and Okongwu have missed both games and the Hawks still won them.

Rookie Nathan Night chipped in 14 points tonight; going 4 of 5 from the field, 2 of 3 from three, and 4 of 5 from the free throw line. He did that in under 9 minutes.

For those who don't know who he is. Knight played at William and Mary. He was the CAA Player of the year, CAA Defensive Player of the year, and won the Lou Henson award for best mid major player. He averaged 20.7 and 10.5 his senior year. And yes he can shoot free throws :D

Anthony Edwards is one explosive dude with the ball in his hands. He is going to cause lots of issues.

Nah, like several players more but he was a nice pick too. The funny thing is how people are seeing this draft wasn't anywhere near as "bad" as they made it out to be.

I think it’s were people predicted, a decent amount of rotational players but week at the top. People overhyped preseason like usual but once the regular season started we’re seeing what they play like when teams try. I mean Maxey scored 6 then 2 points I his first two games and he’s the steal of the draft? All the rookies who got there own thread as “steals” haven’t done anything yet.

Okoro 42 minutes, 0 points? But I was told by Cavs fans that going scoreless in 16 was really bad?

Really? You're going to bag on a rookie that saw 1 minute and 16 seconds of playing time? He's playing behind a slew of veteran guards, it's going to take some time for him to crack the rotation.

That’s what I’m talking about. Hyping a player either way over a small sample size, especially over preseason. We won’t know what any of these kids are until they play some meaningful minutes in the regular season, so giving someone a thread off of two preseason games was ridiculous.

I think he'll be an all NBA guy one day. It kills me when fans bash 19 yr olds. They did the same to Brandon Ingram when he was 19.

He’s an extremely low usage player focused on defense. Gotta tell you though it feels good to have a player who doesn’t need touches or points to positively comtribute. Highest +/- in the game and many key defensive plays down stretch in an OT win.

Encouraging defense so far. He missed a few passes that shoulda got him easy points today.

Knight was one of the two-way guys who should've been drafted. There were a number of big men in this draft that were get slept on. Daniel Oturu, Nick Richards and Knight were the main ones.
