The Suns have also been the worst defensive team in the league in terms of points allowed during the time Nash has been on the team.

And Ben will NEVER finish in the top 150 for threes ATTEMPTED in a given year.

What's your point?

Nash and Kidd were amazing at creating for themselves, breaking down defenders and defenses and getting other guys open for easy shots. Ben does none of that.

Ben Simmons is third-fastest in NBA history to reach 25 triple-doubles

Ben's defense was totally amazing tonight. Put RJ Barrett in jail and still wreaked havoc all over the floor. DPOY level.

Look, I get it, you're going to defend your fellow Aussie. All you have provided is regurgitation of stats without context.

Simply watching him on offense in the half court, especially in playoffs, tells you everything you need to know. He is a severe liability on that side of the court and he has shown NO change in that side of his game despite being into his 5th year.

He thought they had a better chance of winning the series with Butler handling the ball I would guess.

I said Aussie because his "location" was set as downunder. Also, his basis for supporting Ben was nothing but accolades and stat counting and clearly isn't based on watching actual games.

Even last night, Ben wanders aimlessly on half court offensive possessions a lot of the time. The only thing he can do is to dive to the basket which he does while Embiid is trying to play in the low post or he mistimes it so that he arrives before the guard (usually Shake) has gotten to the point where he can fully suck in the defense and dish it to a diving Ben.

5 years in the league and he doesn't even comprehend basic offensive concepts and timing.

Oh and Brett had Jimmy ball handle because Ben sucks at running a half court offense and we needed a guy who can pick and pop, draw fouls or set up our big guy and Ben can't do any of those things in the playoffs against good teams.

Looks like he has improved even more on the defensive end by totally buying into the idea that it's one of his elite qualities. Shame that there are zero signs of a similar trajectory on the offensive end.

Yes to a degree his huge improvement, compared to his pre draft status, defensively is a red flag. It means that he works hard, is willing to do all the little things and generally plays winning basketball. His lack of a significant offensive improvement might be related to intrinsic flaws he has (relatively small wingspan, mediocre/bad touch in the paint, bad shooting ability etc) and which might be much harder or impossible to fix.
