Mitch played great today minus the brain fart INT in the end zone and the miss to Kmet on the deep ball. He commanded the huddle like I’ve never seen him. Looks like a pro QB now. No deer in headlights. It’s like he knows what to do now. He beat the blitz multiple times for big first downs. AROB dropped a TD and Mooney had a couple drops too. It didn’t faze Mitch though. He just kept playing.
Monty was patient and made most of the holes created for him.
Pagano is an issue. When he lets this D play they can really play. This prevent crap has to go. Apply pressure. Make plays. Watch the other team make lots of mistakes.
Bears are going to be the team no one wants to play in the playoffs.
There's no reason why Jacksonville should've scored 17 on them. But Pagano refuses to dial up pressure. It's killed value for many of their players.

Nagy needs to recognize that and tell him to crank it up because Pagano is clueless right now and there's no way we are going to outscore playoff calibre teams like this.

LMAO they only let up 10, they got 7 against our backups.

What needs to happen in the Rams v Seahawks game to get the full roster of Rams playing next week?

They will play regardless. If they win today, they have a chance to win the division next week. If they lose today, they will have a chance to win the wild card next week.

Mitch's pocket awareness looks much improved. I guess that's the difference a workable offensive line can make. I like the decisiveness when he actually decides to tuck it and run too. No indecisiveness this week.

George McCaskey's off the clock.
Yeah, the Jags suck, but they're a NFL team and the Bears convincingly took care of business. Though fans may have had higher expectations, the experts had the Bears as a .500 team. Importantly, those experts figured that the Bears' defense would carry the Bears offense. Since Trubisky returned as the starter, it's at least been an equal partnership. Where the Bears go from here depends at least as much on the defense as it does the offense.

This can't be emphasized enough. The Bears played several games during their 6 game losing streak with a ridiculously weak O-Line. NFL football is and always will be about your big uglies beating the other guy's big uglies. When you line up a O-Line which only has 1 player who has played his position in the NFL before, you can't expect your offense to work as intended.
Until the actual truth is more important to you than what you believe, you will never recognize the truth.

The entire NFC is beatable. Especially without crowds in the stands.

I just decided that I'll take Trubisky over Goff.

I'm glad Arizona lost yesterday because I don't think I can deal with rooting for him.
Let's go Pack tonight though!

I can't root for the Packers. I prefer to just beat them at full strength

I think it's important to evaluate Mitch as is, minus where he was drafted, minus who was taken after him and add in who has been calling plays and coaching him.
I thought he was OK today.
There we're 3 really bad plays. Obviously the interception, the overthrow to Kmet and the near interception in the 3rd where he didn't see the safety.
Mitch may always have brain farts, he seems like a guy who can't improvise on plays unless they completely break down. He always wants to hit where the play is intended, and does not go through progressions smoothly. Another thing that that he doesn't get credit for is that he is generally safe with the ball, a career 2:1 TD to INT ratio. He is a more then capable NFL QB if you just saw him play and didn't know where he was drafted. He may always make 2 or 3 bad throws in a game, or make a misread or have a brain fart.
I see his career arc almost identical to Cam Newton, numbers wise. A guy who you can win with, but never does enough to put him in elite category. I'm interested to see how this plays out in the offseason.

completely agree with this assessment. I can live with the overthrow to kmet, but the near interception was not acceptable

Goff broke his thumb.
Thankfully SF won yesterday, Arizona is going to roll next week.

If I'm not mistaken, its as simple as:
Bears win and they are in.
Cardinals lose and Bears are in.
Bears lose and Cardinals win, and Cardinals are in.
Green Bay needs to win next week to secure 1st since they won't know the results of the other games (they would lose a 3 way tiebreaker between Seattle, NO, and GB to Seattle and Seattle/NO should both be heavy favorites).
