His defensive metrics were actually pretty good when he wasn't on the floor with Lou Williams. Granted, that means he was on the floor with the likes of Bev, PG, and Kawhi but the Clippers just didn't know how to optimize him defensively.

Yepp. He looked bad guarding Boban and Jokic in the playoffs...shocking!

But his switchability and movement is pretty good. He was also 2nd in charges drawn last year, right? He can definitely make an impact on that end

Typically when you tell the switchy undersized bug thats pretty good when it comes to motor and rotating to not guard jokic and drop during every pick and roll he looks better

Harrell looks like he can be switchy, could see him being a great piece defensively. Offensively he looks really good too

Once schroder and AD unlock their pick and roll its a wrap. More than that, during the playoffs i think the defense of this team will really unlock

Weird to see so little required from LeBron. Even on his 'super teams' from 11-17, felt like he still had to be good in order for them to win. This team is just so much deeper than any other of his. And offense in general is just so much easier in this current soft-ass era compared to even say....2018.

Ben thinking for the longest time Lebron needed to let go of third stars. This team is stacked from positions 3-6. GB is going to be mad when they find out how good the Lakers are. They'll soon be called a superteam.

Also have to add Kuzma has been so good not just because of his shooting but he finally discovered passing. His offensive impact is no longer tied to his field goal percentage

He made some really quick, seemingly instinctive passing decisions which were great - we didn't see him make those as consistently in-game last season. Probably a combination of confidence coming off of a championship+more experience (+Gasol as a teammate?)+getting that contract

Only three games in, but none of his other teams [sUpErTeAmS] looked like this even if it was a depleted Minny team playing on a back-to-back.

The ridiculous OffEnSe fAiLs BeCaUse [inset “team built around LeBron, he controls the ball too much, etc., etc.] hasn’t been other true other than in certain narratives. 1997 and 1998 Bulls offense fell off without Jordan on court, but their defense didn’t. LeBron’s team offense fell off AND defense fell off causing issues.

Now he has shooters who can also play defense around him who are also energetic. All of a sudden, these narratives don’t apply, I guess.

The best way ti say how deep this team is, is that beyind having arguably the best two players in the league, when you list out 3-6 you can make an argument for any of those guys. Harrell was the third best llayer on a championship level team, and we are using him in a way that he isnt a liability on defense, schroder was the second or third best player in a mid tier west playoff team, marc was a strong starter for a championship team that replaced a second star with depth, and my man kuz is balling out lol.

Add that on with strong 3 and D wings with KCP and Matthews, one good off ball one good on ball, markieff, a strong small ball 4, and caruso, one of the best "little things" guy in the nba

KCP was the third best offensive player on this team last season. That really encapsulates how deep this team is.

This team was historically good offensively in the playoffs, and were in the top 3 range pre bubble.

You can make a strong argument KCP is #7 now. AD looks like he kept the jumper too.

With his in game output looking like it will be down this season, my guess is LeBron will push to play as many games as possible (perhaps all).

I am guessing he plays against Portland.

The addition of Gasol and Schröder really fills the void in last year's team. Gasol's passing unlocks the half court offense and Schröder adds a second ball handler in line ups sans LeBron. Harrell and a consistent Kuz are healthy scoring options to boost the 2nd unit to not drop the leads LeBron builds. Wish this team was playing to a full staples center every game, the fans deserve this and this team deserves them.
