He needs to turn it around quick. Going 0 for 8 on open 3s is mentally draining. He needs to be tough enough to bounce back and not lose his confidence.

shooters shoot. they dont worry about an off night. and he didnt hesitate after he missed the first 5,6 or 7.

As far as "post all-star break" we are talking about a period where there was a long shutdown and then he had COVID, and then he was in the bubble which was an odd environment in general.

The guy didnt forget how to shoot overnight. he had a bad game.

Well, with Spencer now gone, Shamet most likely gets put into the starting line up since we need LeVert in the 2nd unit. He'll have his chance.

I think TLC will start and NASH will keep that second unit together. need a shooter around levert.

Oh good idea, I didn't even think about him.

I liked how TLC looked in there with KD and Kyrie last night. He was excellent defensively and didn't do too much aside from waiting to catch open shots. If he can be plugged in as our 3 + D guy I think we will be fine.

As long as he keeps the game simple. When he tries to do too much on offense is where his low bball IQ gets him into trouble.

I agree but it's not just 1 bad game. He's 2 for 15 on the season. His last 15 games of last season - he shot 25% from 3. These are nasty shooting slumps for a guy getting open looks. There's obviously weird circumstances to take into account so I'm not killing him.

My concern is he either gets in his head or he's the type of guy that needs 27+ minutes to get into a rhythm. I just don't know Shamet like that to be 100% confident in him. If it was Joe Harris, yeah, I'd be 100% sure he was going to shoot 60% from 3 for a month and make up for it.

I do think switching out DeAndre for Allen would be a good move. IDK, early season DeAndre is tough to watch at times. He just doesn't have the motor defensively, much better suited for short spurts imo.

We seem to play better with Allen on the court too, but I haven't actually checked the numbers tbh.
