Really sucks for him.
And not to be a douche, but this takes a Harden trade off the table now I would think. They’re not gonna trade for an injured Dinwiddie.

I'm pissed right now but unlike most I do believe we'll resign Din. I know it only takes one team to over pay and blah blah blah. Just can't see Tsai and Marks letting him go.

So awful for Spencer...i hope this isn’t a sign of things to come... **** us..... hope he gets better and recovers.
You wouldn’t think that a partial tear would be the outcome after leaving the game... crazy!
Just when we should change the bench strategy this happens.. f!

Re: Breaking News: Spencer suffers partially torn ACL
Was trying so hard to be optimistic last night, but this is honestly what I figured as soon as it happened.
This sucks so much for him, because even if we win a ring he’s always going to look at it as if he had no real part in it on the court.
Very well might be his last game as a Net and the elephant in the room, is he’s no longer the trade chip he was.

I certainly hope he wouldn't think that. Even setting aside his direct recruiting, he was instrumental in helping the Nets make such a big jump and bring national exposure, putting free agents (and other players) on notice. All due to his play on the court and flourishing in the Nets system.

Well, stock plummeted to zero. More ball for LeVert.

Damn... I really liked Spencer, always played hard and seemed like a great guy off the court. This was / is his chance to cash in as well...
From a going forward perspective hopefully one of Shamet / Brown / TLC can rise to the occasion and fill the starting two spot... Might need to trade for a other PG as well given Kyrie's and Levert's injury history... Chiozza can give spot minutes but not sure I trust him as a full time backup.

As much as I appreciate Spencer, some of the reactions here are kinda over the top.
Fact is, we weren't getting close to full impact from him due to The Dynamic Duo absolutely crushing it thus far. Other than games like tonight, it might have been different if he'd been in LeVert's place... leader of the 2nd unit. But he wasn't. Fact is he was a useful, dynamic player we weren't getting close to full value from with the DD healthy. His greatest value was overwhelmingly as insurance, and the coaches tried to slot him in as best possible.
Love to DWid, but I think the team is going to be fine for the time being in terms of replacing his contributions. The real question is what happens if a combination of our top three players gets injured, seeing as they're all injury risks.
Other than that, DWid has been a huge success story, both as himself and for the Nets. All parties (including the fans, and even the league) should rightfully be proud of that, and all that only helps our reputation IMO.

Re: Breaking News: Spencer suffers partially torn ACL
Tough news. Really feel for Spencer who's been a good soldier for us over the years.
He was struggling a bit to find his role alongside KD/Kyrie but there's no doubt he is one of our top 5 players on the roster.
We should be okay on nights where KD/Kyrie are playing but games like last night Vs. the Grizz is where we could really have used Spencer to lessen the load on Caris to do everything.
Depth is suppoused to be one of this team's strengths so I guess we shall see. We're being tested early already but it happens.
Hopefully he can come back for the playoffs.

He won't be the NY Post is a toilet rag. It just goes to show you how jealous the Manhattan fanbase is.
