Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Dec 28, 2020 7:03 pm

Daryl Morey has been fined $50,000 for a violation of the NBA's anti-tampering rules.

The fine stems from a social media post Morey made on December 20th regarding James Harden.

NBA needs to completely ditch the anti-tampering rules. They are stupid and nobody follows them regardless. People knew Kyrie and KD wanted to come to NY like a year before it happened. We live in a digital world. Let people talk.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:

That's not the point the teams and the GM are not allowed to recruit players who are under contract. A $50,000 fine is a slap on the wrist. What the league needs to do it they want to stop it is to being docking draft picks, starting with a 2nd round pick for a minor violation and going up to #1 picks and multiple picks for the egregious cases. Agents should be heavily fined for shopping their players to teams that are not the contract team and players should be fined and suspended for demanding trades in the media.

It's one thing for a player to go to the team and say, "Hey I'd like to be traded here's a list of teams." But when they just go on Twitter or to ESPN whoever and demand a trade they should lose a big chunk of cash or time.

A contract is a contract!!

Personally I don’t think they’re policing it right. Look at AD to lA ... worlds worst kept secret and their golden boy was publicly recruiting him..

How is any of the non big teams meant to survive? Draft a gun for some other guy to entice him over!? Then what’s the point !?

4 teams and the rest of the league is their farm system. This way the media members don't have to learn about more then 4 teams before their morning coffee. So, same as now.
