If he plays well, even with lower individual stats than last season, but a bit more impact on the team, I'm OK for a descending 105/4yrs contract, but for more, he would have to really make more impact and continue on the same individual level, which I don't care at all, the goal is to build a winning team, not have two All-Star players and not winning anything
That's also why I wanted a better big men since the beginning of the season last year, it would have avoid any front court players to be overvalued. We should always have a balanced roster to see the real value of the players.

That number is off the table. It's 4/130 now... Or trade him before deadline or hope for ST probably with less leverage

He can do that but John's not a #1 on any team in the league. He possibly deserves more than 90m but we all know who's team it is.tbhawksfan1 wrote:JC might start looking at Trae a bit differently as the reality that Trae is "THE MAN" and that he (JC) is worth about 4/90

Actually, I spoke a bit quickly. 4/90 is just about right

He will likely get close to the max from someone. Prior to the year I was on the train to match any offer for Collins but the way the team looks with all the young guys who can put the ball on the ground, shoot the three, make quick passes 1-4 with a defensive anchor at the 5, I'm starting to lean the other way... (and I love JC)
