Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
Updated for Dec. 27.
Sacto really struck gold with Haliburton at #12. He was #2 on my board before the draft. Avdija still has to prove he can shoot efficiently, but he can really fill up a stat sheet, he's gonna be good. Edwards still has a lot of question marks, but he's better than I thought he might be.

That's odd. I was using ImgBB, this is Imgur, can you see it?

Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
curious why you're looking at them from a FPPG standpoint
i'd rather use something like WS imo at this point -
1 Haliburton 0.4
2 Achiuwa 0.2
3 Cole Anthony 0.2
4 Antman 0.2
5 Sam Merrill 0.2
6 Avdija 0.1
7 McDaniels 0.1
8 Okoro 0.1
9 Pritchard 0.1
10 Wiseman 0.1

Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
I've seen everyone but Okoro so far. Wiseman, Hali and Cole Anthony have been the most impressive as far as instant contributions. Deni and Pritchard look good too. Quickly is another one I'd sneak in there. PWill didn't really impress last night but he barely touched the ball so it was hard to judge.

The young Houston rookie Tate was scoring in bunches in his 1st game for them. One to watch maybe.

Isn't WS is more about relative team performance than rookie performance. If a rookie is BY FAR the best player in the NBA but his team wins 1 game his WS rating will be terrible won't it?

yes it's based a wins-based metric but I find the story it tells better than raw fantasy points.

Thanks for posting. Wiseman shooting 83% from three lol. And as bad as it seems he’s rebounding, he is leading all rookies

Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
It’s three games, of course you use the raw numbers lol
And it’s fun to look at, doesn’t need to be a cause for dismissal

Oh, there's a simple reason for that, I don't have access to Win Shares data in an automated way. I could try to calculate it but it's actually a pretty complex, multi-step calculation. For example it requires calculating multiple league averages for points per possession. And I don't know if I have all the components to do the calculation. Fantasy points for sure isn't perfect (biased towards offense and high usage for starters) but it's a decent overall barometer.

just click on the Win shares column and it'll categorize it for you, or you can extract the report directly from bball ref

Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
Im very happy with Wiseman.
Still don't think it would have been a terrible idea to trade back for Mitchell Robinson or Wendell Carter while picking Haliburton. He would be great on the dubs.

Re: 2020 Rookie Tracker
I'll see about getting WS data, but it's going to be more difficult than just pulling from an API (I'm lazy, so no, I'm not going to input these manually, haha).

3pt% has dropped to 62.5% now. What a loser.
