It will be interesting to see if he keeps this up.
This version of Randle is def much better then last years version. But is even this version someone that you can build a good team around as a main piece and contend in the long run, especially with the rest of our core?

We will see how the rest of the season goes. Seems like he will be here for this season and probably next though. Personally, still doubt he is a long term piece to the puzzle and would sell high if i could

if THIS randle can stick around, he'd be a great #3 option. bring in a Jimmy Butler type, and you have a team that can compete in the East.

obviously there are greater needs than others - a high level PG would be best. but i'd want to make sure that whoever is coming in, they buy into the team, as randle apparently has done so far this season - this is NOT what he showed us last year.

I believe we now have some semblance of an offensive system under Thibs vs what we had under Fiz. Just look at the man movement off the ball now vs before when it was non-existent under Fiz. Plus we seem to have more shooting on the floor compared to last year. All combined give Randle more options versus last year where he was told to go one on one with no floor spacing and a locked in defense due to a stationary offense. Last year he was not put in a position to suceed, but the skillset was there. Now he is generating a double on almost every play and to his credit is making the right decision.

You are right, that there finally looks like some sort of strategy now. Randle made bad decisions last season, and could've stopped that, but didn't. Now, he's making great decisions and it might be worth thinking about bringing him back

No. Last year Randle (despite being this boards scapegoat) was a much better player than the corpse of Batum, who was also on an atrocious deal. You don't trade a better player, on a better contract for worse player, on a worse contract, without being compensated. Simple as that. Stupid people are just stupid I guess.
