Charlotte perhaps has the makings of a dark horse in the east...

I must be missing something. Ostensibly what is the difference between this and the reactionary bashing threads?

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Don't think he'll be part of something significant but he'll make his money. Perhaps it's not saying much but he's the most talented of the 3 and he has a flair about him you can't teach.

One shared concern in Illawarra? LaMelo would be cocky and egotistical. As it turned out, he was incredibly down to earth—even straight-up likeable.

LaMelo’s attitude extended beyond his teammates to others in the organization.

“He made sure to build relationships with every one of the guys,” says Dan Grida, a guard on the Hawks. “He knew everyone’s name from the beginning… players, coaches, staff, everyone. He made everyone feel important.”

He just put up one of the most efficient games for player his age in NBA history. This isn't a game where he shot 5-5 and I'm reacting saying he's the GOAT. This would be a legit stat line of a superstar player if he played 40 min.

Biyombo has looked great , almost like 2016 biz. Bridges is scorching from three, they have some interesting players no doubt.

This thread wasn't needed

His shot form is pretty good and he is shooting 40% from 3 this season though, so that was greatly exaggerated

Hmm... Without Dinwiddie the Nets could use a backup point guard, but would LaMelo really orchestrate the offense better than Chiozza?

His brother could use some of LaMelo's cockiness and confidence on the court...

I'm not sure if he's going to be a top 5 / GOAT level performer like Luka but hey anything can happen.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

I'm not surprised he seems like a goofy happy go lucky kid, I'm extremely pleased to hear this news. You love to see it. Hope to see this kid bring Charlotte back to relevance. They got a lot going for their franchise imo as far as location and even the branding/colorways. He could definitely make them a saucy contender one day if everything pans out for him.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

The Hornets seem to really like him. Pregame I see him chatting with teammates, and everyone is all smiles. It seems genuine.
