He didn’t have a good 3pt% to begin with at a below average 31% last year, but you gladly live with it because of the volume and degree of difficulty, the defense he faces and everything else good he does. But if he wants to shoot 9% or even in the 20%s teams might back off and start letting him shoot more like the lakers did to westbrick in the playoffs until he gets it together. That will make things even tougher, as the hornets locked down the paint on them in this game

Mavs roster sucks big time. Fit not fat Luka, fully healthy and rested KP and they are still not a top 8 quality wise team in the West.

How are all these analysts in the TVs still hired? Mavs a threat, contender? What are they smoking. If the analytics guys are not at least 100 times smarter than the TV analysts, no wonder Hoston Rockets failed to win the chips.

Hell, you have guys on this board who said they were a top 4 team IN THE WEST without Porzingis. Luka ain't Superman

Was curious how Zion was doing and I see he’s only averaging one assist, zero threes, and about 53% from free throw line. To be fair I haven’t watched any of their games. Anyone have a good read on that situation?

I've watched two Pelicans games from start to finish. I don't know know if it's some restriction or he is just lacking the energy but he is attacking seriously only for 5-10 minutes a game. And he looks unstoppable. But for the other 20 minutes he is practically doing nothing.

The beginning of this season is no indication of the rest of the season, I suspect by the end of it the usual suspects will be playoff teams along with a few surprises no doubt. We are still inside the typical year's 'preseason window' and often many teams haven't settled in until 10 games after that anyway so upwards of the first quarter of this season is a crapshoot as far any predictability from it.
