But truthfully DG was a good overall defender and our defense seems to be lacking (yes I know some is the effort of Bron and AD).

Ofc losing Avery and even Dwight hurt too (and AC out for now)

Haven't paid attention to Matthews defense since game 1, how has it been if anyone is paying attention

Ofc, but I'm also saying that with DG's current performance in mind. He's been awful for the 76ers so far. It's starting to be very concerning how long his shot has been missing.

He sure did. Tonight was a step-forward though. Best he has moved in the regular season so far. Felt like he could drive in the half-court any time he wanted to. I guess the ankle is getting better. His lift around the rim is definitely an issue (thus getting blocked so much), but he couldn't jump last year either for the first 50 games or so.

I'm way more optimistic about this year's LeBron than I was about him for most of last season. He looks slimmer, quicker, more explosive and hopefully the leaping will eventually come too. Everything points towards him being a better offensive player this season than last. He always has been after a title-winning season. 2014>2013>2012 and 2017>2016.

Been a little behind. Watching the replay for the Portland game and will watch Spurs tomorrow but I just wanna say, is Big 3 member KCP one of the top 15 most athletic SGs in the league or nah? This dude is a beast on the break and always good for a dunk or strong take every other game.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Happy birthday to the King. 17 years ago I went with my dad to my first NBA game to watch LeBron on his birthday. I was 9 years old. Who would’ve thought that 17 years later he’d not only still be in the NBA, but also still be the best player in it. Hope he’s still playing for years to come.

Nothing new around this time of the season. Thought the same last year and the one before. Come to realise it has less to do with athleticism and more that lax regular season lebron just doesn't protect his layups at the rim. That's how you have him getting blocked by the likes of Hezonja. This time last year they played the Raptors and Lebron got stuffed at the rim something like 4 times. The playoffs come and he switches hands before going up, bumps his defenders off their balance and all the other tricks to erase the shotblocker

We'll see an improvement once playoffs hit

The difference is AD plays the 4 in the RS, havinf deight or mcgee at the 5 makes sense, but if AD is at the 4 and you have Harrell at the 5 theyll just avoid AD

Otoh harrell will be fine defensively at the 4, ad does AD thjngs at the 5

AD's jumper is looking wet though, shooting better in the midrange so far that he did last postseason actually

Lakers are somehow first in net rating so far; third in offense and ninth on defense.

Not worried about the defense, Davis, in particular, is not even trying and LA still has the top net rating and top 10 defense

I don't know if taking LeBron and Marc out at the same time is the best idea. Offense seems to lose a little steam whenever those two go out in the first quarter.

The bench line up with LeBron, Kieff, Trezz, Kuz and Wes feels too small when LeBron's not playing fully throttle on defense.

Bron's jumper is in mid season form. Can't remember the last time he started a season shooting this well.

I'd rather have Dwight than Harrell even ignoring the contract

AD not even giving much effort, kind of annoying

Mix that in with Trez being a not so good defender and this is very annoying

Man I miss having Dwight

Reffing is awful tonight, spurs have gotten multiple calls

I may have rather kept Dwight, signed Marc, still do the Schroeder trade, and then used the mle on a wing like Holiday or Crowder

His stroke has looked really good so far. Very confident and willing to pull the trigger too, assuming his finishing gets back to normal he should get back to 60+ % true shooting this year.

This team is playing so lazy right now.
