Exactly. No reason to see who can come in and create a spark.

Hawks fan here...why is Jordan starting over Allen?

Yeah you're not beating anyone when you're 1-16 from 3 while the other team is 7-17. That's literally an 18 point difference right there, really, really hard to make up for that in other ways.

Team politics. He's boys with Kyrie and KD, and he whined about not being a starter last year, and so he was inserted into the starting lineup in the 2nd half of last year.

We all know he's the worse player between the two, and if he's going to be the starter, then we at least just hope that Allen ultimately plays more minutes and is the one closing out the game...which hasn't exactly been the case so far.

Because he's KD and Kyrie's boy, but that issue will correct itself very shortly.

Yet on the other end, the Hawks are making us work with their system. We gotta do something.

Yeah, and the answer is that we need to make shots. How many bricks have Irving, TLC, and Harris fired up so far? That's the more glaring concern.

Sure, making shots definitely helps but the best teams have systems that still wear you down and keep them in the game even when they’re not shooting well.

This is why therealbig3’s comment about Kyrie’s lack of foul baiting is important.

Dwyane Wade was always lethal because even when he wasn’t shooting well, he could draw fouls on his drives (and get the opponent into foul trouble), get to the line, and keep adding points. Without being able to consistently draw fouls, our ability to extend leads and get back into games is largely dependent upon whether we’re making shots or not.

It’s natural for players and teams to go through shooting slumps, so I’m not made that we’re missing shots. But it does mean that our success will largely be determined on the quality of shots we take and whether we’re hot or cold. Being able to draw fouls is usually the ultimate trump card because it gives you a way to score regardless of whether you’re hot or cold from the field.

Why does that come to mind? Was he grimacing?
No, I didn't notice any reaction, but just the way his shot seems off right now is the same way it was last season when he got hurt.

Oh ok...I didn’t see anything. I just think he’s in a slump. It happens to the best of shooters.

Since he is an injury prone player, his injury status is always in the back of my mind. But I don’t think it’s that.

Kyrie just spazzed on DJ just now. That leash is going to get short really quick.

We need to stop trading buckets sooner than later. We're right there.

Not sure how I feel about TLC as a long term starter. Maybe try Shamet or someone else?

Nash has to seriously work on rotations, timeouts. Among other things but it’s glaring as hell.

Also, there is no point in trying to send guards to the paint if they won’t be met with any resistance from Jordan.

He should never see the floor once Claxton is healthy..

Getting some great looks, just not falling.

Does seem like KD is getting fouled a lot though without the call.

Our defense does seem a little better so far.
