People thought PG was going to be on the tier of LeBron/Durant/Kawhi, he's not that player, but he is really, really good. Hoping to pull this out, but it's a fun one to watch, think both teams have some runs.

The bench really had a tough time, hence why Lue went heavy on the starters. The bench just did not have it in that first half. It would be nice for the bench to make a little run in the second half so that the starters don't have to carry it the whole way.

The whole rollercoaster ride with him just gets exhausting sometimes. It is nice to see him contribute on defense, of course, but still.

That's a real rough start to the 2nd half

Utah is 13-28 from three, the Clippers are 6-19. They are also +8 on the glass...Lue needs to make game by game adjustments as well, Ibaka shouldn't be in often vs Gobert

Just haven't made buckets. We've missed about 6-7 easy shots right under the basket. That's at least ten missed points right there

Lue leaning on the starters way to much one day after a back to back. They look blown up on defense

Those 3's are mainly Conley who is 6/11, but still, Mitchell and O'neale are combined 5/8, so still really good too

I know, right? But he's actually been good this season unlike how he started last season. 19/6/5 on 45/43 coming into this game

There's generally a bias when it comes to analyzing PG and Kawhi, seems like people are very willing to throw PG under the bus, but to excuse Kawhi, or shift the blame to something else. Players have bad games, doesn't mean they are trash every time the shot isn't falling, it is going to happen. PG is playing fine for a poor shooting night. He has 6 FT's, he's got 5 steals. The whole thing we want players to do when the shot isn't falling is to contribute in other ways, and he's done that.

It's good to have a moderator present on game threads. Thanks for being here, man.

In no realm can Batum keep up with Mitchell if he’s attacking

Exactly, I think it set up a perception that he's something more than he is, even when people started to adjust expectations. He's an elite defensive player, and a very good but not dominant offensive player. Most teams (including Utah) would kill to have a player of his caliber. We only have one guy in his tier (Gobert).
