Exactly, I think it set up a perception that he's something more than he is, even when people started to adjust expectations. He's an elite defensive player, and a very good but not dominant offensive player. Most teams (including Utah) would kill to have a player of his caliber. We only have one guy in his tier (Gobert).

That's like almost nine-ten years ago though. Kawhi wasn't even considered a star yet or projected to make the leap that he made

Just haven't made buckets. We've missed about 6-7 easy shots right under the basket. That's at least ten missed points right there

This is the one good thing. They have gotten some good looks near the basket, but they have just missed, and sadly this does happen once in a while, which sucks, but the good part is that they have created those opportunities.

Can’t win them all but it looks like Utah can be a issue for us. We need Morris back soon

The shooting, okay, that happens, it has been his turnovers that have been cringe worthy in this one because a lot were unforced

Again... can't wait for the day PG can be traded. I'm already dreading the next Mavs series type of performance from him in the playoffs. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm seeing the same old PG this season and he's not good enough for this team to win anything with.

That series and this whole past playoffs was an anomaly for him, and he's not the world's most consistent star player (but not bad either), but even that was not normal for him. He basically had more low scoring and bad shooting games than he has had in all the other series' since he returned from injury combined. So the likelihood of that happening again is, well, not that likely, though of course anything could happen.

Trade wise, we're "stuck" with him until at least after this season playoffs, soo...

Strange game. We are close but it doesn’t feel like we are close and can hit the extra gear

It would be nice to have a real coach who makes adjustments for these types of games, but unfortunately, we promoted Doc's clone and expected anything to be different.

The whole team looks trash really. It’s one of those nights you can’t win them all

Our perimeter defense continues to be suspect and seems like Beverly was out for a long stretch maybe he got extra tired

I disagree. I think people still felt that way when OKC traded for him and he was a bit removed from that injury. Of course when he had his first amazing year Kawhi wasn't relevant. Anyway, it's neither here nor there. The point is, he's a really amazing player but people seem to get upset that he's in that third tier of NBA stars (not saying Clippers fans generally, but seeing comments on the general board, etc.). IMO, in this game he has been the primary catalyst behind what few Clippers runs have happened.
