Draft twitter holding the L on this one. He’s just been absolutely terrible. I bet Detroit panicked when Patrick Williams was off the board and reached on Hayes. Both Wasserman and DX heard from teams that he was more of a late lotto prospect and it’s def looking that way.

All the countless draft threads here was hyping Killian, Kira and Vassell while trashing Cole and Lamelo.

Cole has been awful too. Seems like Wiseman, Edwards and Lamelo are the best players of the draft

I looked closer at Cole's percentages and they are worse than I thought. :-?
Wiseman is similar to Cole some good games and some poor ones.

Patrick WIlliams in that convo too, though Lamelo is still my favorite from this class.

Who would think of that? (excepting everybody).

The interesting stuff was finding out the best players outside the Top3. For now, Haliburton is ahead.

Cole is playing reasonably well for a rookie. He is aggressive on the court. He averages 3,8 assist to 1 TO and 10 points in only 20 minutes (17,6/6,7 for 36). Besides, he has a positive plus-minus every game. But his shooting is atrocious: 33/23/100. At least he is killing in FA (15/15).

Pat Will and Okoro look like they will be really good low usage players.

Onekya still injured. Kira, Jaren Smith and Nesmith barely played.

Deni is playing well. But Wizards was the wrong team for him. Everybody needs the ball and atack. Nobody plays defense. Its frustrating for a newbie.

Nah he’ll be okay. I have been watching the Warriors games.

I questioned his fit with that team though. Kerr does not know how to get his big men easy shots. A Curry and Wiseman pick and roll had been successful but it is barely used and possibly due to instincts built upon through the years, Curry’s tendency is to kick it out to Kelly Oubrick instead of a sure two points with a Wiseman roll.

On the negative side given that his teammates cannot feed him the ball for easy shots Wiseman forces things. That is why you would see him dribble up the floor when he gets the chance and going through the entire defense, albeit successful at times. You will also see him do a behind the back dribble that made Dame look foolish for trying to go for the steal although Wiseman would end up barreling into Covington for the charge.

He has to refine his game no doubt about that. He has to take that off hand (right hand) hook shot off his repertoire, that move is not ready and he has looked embarrassing trying to attempt that. He has shown promise in his footwork in the post, his scoring from there will come efficiently eventually. The outside shooting of course is already there but he has to improve on that 15 foot range more. The free throw shooting is already okay.

His defense is not as worrisome for me, I don’t see why he can’t improve on that. He had a good defensive game against Detroit and had great sequence defending CJ’s and Dame’s drive to the basket.

He has played what? Five NBA games after only playing 3 in college? You guys are hilarious. That’s why we do not deserve nice things here.

did i ever tell you that you were my favorite ?........hi melo.

and forgot the offense, probably the worst defensive center in the league :rofl2:

Lol I caught some of the second half and Wiseman had a sequence where he had 2 blocks back to back. He doesn’t look as awful as you say he is

The Warriors announcers were right in saying that Wiseman just has to be taught were to position himself. Actually a coaching issue and the Warriors perimeter defense is awful, possibly the worst in the league.

Also not surprised that Wiseman’s rebounding numbers are low. Aside from him boxing out for his teammates to get the rebounds (as opposed to other bigs that just want to pad their stats), I see the shots from their opponents going in most of the time.
