Sidenote, I just learned about Raise.com which is an (apparently legit) website where you can buy gift cards for discount. And Honey (browser extension) found further discounts with promo codes. Long story short, I got $100 of PSN cash for $81. Check it out.

FYI, it's very Souls-like.

Nice. I was thinking of Dark Souls Remastered, too, so maybe this will be a kind introduction. I didn't want to jump in with a $70 entry, despite it looking so **** incredible.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Gripe I've had seemingly regularly lately: the coolest gear gated behind story progression, except the progression is at the very end. It seems like in the last few months I've played games where the only way to get the most interesting gear and weapons is by completing literally the entire game. The hell I need the gear after that?

Not sure this is the right thread, but would appreciate recommendations on a 55-70 inch TV
Might go as high as $900. Also want for smart TV capabilities.
Used for watching TV/movies. Mild use for video games.

I can't give a recommendation unfortunately. I used Wirecutter and other sites for recommendations when I wanted a second TV years ago and I got a 65 inch Vizio that got great reviews. It crashes (I didn't know TVs crashed before this) almost once a day. A couple weeks ago one of my inputs started having a 3x1 inch pixel distortion. I think I paid around $1200 for it at the time and I can't believe how crappy it is.
Anyway, that was a long way of saying even the best reviews can get you a lemon.

I haven't bought a TV recently, so I can't claim to have recently done a bunch of research (and TVs change so fast, you kind of have to), but I do believe that the new king in the sub-$1000 segment is TCL. This is CNET's best for the money - TCL 65" 4K w/ Roku.

Would also recommend TCL. I bought a 55” 4K TCL Roku TV back in 2018 for around $500 when I moved to Madison. They’re a great value to performance brand; you get a good product without paying for stamping Sony or Samsung’s name on the front.

That is a ton of high-end features packed into one under $1k TV. Makes me think about picking one up.

So I finally got NBA 2k21... What the hell did they do with the shooting, I miss 98% of all jumpers, its freaking impossible, and I boosted sliders. I get that scoring was too easy, but this is evolution, I cant make any shot, when I post up, I can have foot on the guy and I will end up with some stupid fadeaway or heavily constested hook, that shooting release is impossible, I dont get it, Is it just me being a noob or the fact I am playing as the Knicks?

This made me giggle like an idiot.

You come up this dude "Keith" who looks a lot like The Prodigy's Keith Flint.
If you like, you can beat up a near by bishop who doesn't want him and his band to play music.
I killed him, to which the mission is over and Keith sings "Smack my Bishop!"

Just amazing.

I don't wanna be a scumbag but it's soooo tempting considering how much they've screwed me over the years.
I was just coming here to say that my PS5 from Amazon came today and it was the $750 SpiderMan edition, not the $400 Digital version I ordered/payed for. Wife said keep it but I'm struggling.

Jedi Fallen Order is excellent so far. Great graphics and environment, good draw distance also. Interesting creatures, obstacles, and intricate world design. At least in the first ~5-6 hours, it is heavy on exploration/adventure/puzzles, which I am 100% okay with given how great the design of it all is.
The combat is indeed difficult, at least for me, but I think I'm learning. Sort of.

This is what I was going to post. I got a 65 a few years back and love it.
I also love Roku, I found the interface to be super snappy compared to competitors. Just my experience.

I adored this game, was hoping for either an Ezra Bridgers of Cal Kestis cameo in the Mandalorian but we got Luke instead.

You using the shot stick? I think there's a meter for aiming the shot this year as well. I think it can be turned off or you can just use the buttons.

I've been very tempted to pick it up on Steam for $24 with the sale still going through tomorrow. Good to see you all like it, just a matter if I can stay strong and not immediately break my own word to not splurge on a bunch of games this year...
