Leeds gave the ball away too much, Spurs deserved the points.

Have Leeds and Bielsa paid Sky/BT off or something? Getting thrashed today but the commentators and pundits could only shower praise on plucky 'little' Leeds, who by the way spent more than some of the top half teams despite being newly promoted.

The same thing happened when they got rinsed by Man United, Martin Tyler and Neville could barely contain themselves, stifling a boner every time Leeds scuffed a shot wide. Contrast that with the complete disinterest they showed when United broke them down maybe 30 times in that match. It's madness. I've never seen so much praise for such a tactically naive side.

Spurs are competing but there's talk that Kane would be sold to City during the transfer window.

Spurs that hard up for money or something?

A CL berth is worth tens of millions to them next season.

But at least they are interesting to watch. Not Burnley are they?

He won't be sold. Must be at least 10 teams involved in the fight for CL places at the moment.

Also wouldn't Leeds have been level with Spurs if they had won? So only 6 points behind them now.

Terrible defensively but electric going forward. If only they had Vardy or Son instead of Bamford.

Well, they didn't.
Also, Lacazette finally getting rewarded for his hard work this season is great to see.
He gets a lot of criticism, but he's so important for the linkup play.

True but their budget is probably 20-30x more than Burnley. They also spent over 100m on some quality internationals, so it's not like they're performing that far above expectations. They do play decent football, but it's this weird propensity to shower them with praise when they're getting battered. I've never known a team to get so many plaudits when they're 3-0 or 6-2 down, ever.

I think what Villa are doing has been more impressive, but Dean Smith isn't an exotic or charismatic coach.

Good result for Arsenal. I would've been so mad if they lost today. Good run of form heading into the New Year is just what we needed to turn things around.

I was hesitant to twist the knife when Arsenal were playing poorly, as some other fans did (not on here), because I knew a run like this was coming. They're making ground up quickly and should be out of the bottom half mire before long. There are some decent young players in their ranks, Saka and Tierney for example look to be good players.

One of Arsenal's problems has been goals in open play, and a beleaguered West Brom side presented the confidence boost they needed.

Kane won't be sold, and if he was, I don't think Daniel Levy would sanction a transfer to another Premier League club unless it was for a world record fee. Even then, I'd have my doubts about it happening. The only chance is if a club like Real come in for silly money, and Kane had made it clear that he wanted to leave. I can't see it, personally.

What's more likely is that Dele Alli joins his former boss at PSG. Eriksen may also want in on the family reunion after a disastrous stint at Inter.

Also, 'Big Sam' getting thrashed is always nice.

I don't want it to seem that I don't agree with you, I do. Just trying to give an alternate view. Leeds really don't have a goalscorer. Bamford is not a good player.

Also agree about Dean Smith but I think this is so much down to Jack Grealish. As much as I dislike the kid because he plays for a midlands rival he has carried that team for years (even though he is young). IMO he hasn't had the plaudits he deserves. I'd suggest he could be the best player in England by a country mile and we have some very good players in the league ( DeBruyne, Kane. etc..) Whoever ends up buying him in the next year or so is going to get a bargain. Would be a massive upgrade on Pogba.

It does look good and may be it's the confidence boost they needed but really Brighton, West brom, Newcastle, Palace should be 12 points nailed on shouldn't they? With the squad Arsenal have they have no excuse for not being in a europa league spot.

Liverpool fans must be wondering how their team is doing so badly. All of a sudden the "big teams" as well as the second tier are breathing down their necks and Manchester look genuine contenders (and of course Man City have games in hand which would make them the same). Liverpool have been the dominant team for 3 years but it is now foreseeable that come the end of the season Klopp will still have only as many league titles as Ancelotti, Mancini, Ranieri and maybe Olé and less than Pep and José.

I'm expecting a good win for Leicester today. Will I be disappointed in 3 hours time?

We're not moving the ball forwards quickly enough and we're not winning the second ball. Improve on that and it's our game, if not we could lose it to a set piece play.
