Jacoby Brissett

Mitchell Trubisky

Tim Boyle

Kyle Allen

These are the guys we should considering signing this off-season. Obviously you resign Alex because you **** owe him if he doesn't retire. Kyle allen is worth bringing back maybe but I'd kick the tires on a couple of these other guys turbisky is interesting and I think Tim boyle is a neat option backing up a goat can rub off.

I didn’t watch but in Hawaii because Tua is a local boy (Ewa Beach, St Louis HS), all Miami Dolphins games are televised here.

Even Tua T gets the hook. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes through trials as a QB. He admits that he’s not the same as he was pre injury. I’m glad for his sake his draft position wasn’t set back; but to be replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick is an early red flag.
Bye bye Beal.

Yeah, crazy finish. I kept thinking Las Vegas (still sounds weird) shouldn't have been so focused on not scoring a TD because they weren't going to be able to run out the clock or go up by enough that Miami would have to get a TD of their own. Felt like they were outsmarting themselves and that turned out to be true.

But I did enjoy watching next year's Washington QB lead his team to the win. Can't wait for some good ol' Fitz-magic in DC! :D

I lived near Saint Louis when the Rams played there. Kurt Warner is who I thought about when Heinicke came in.

An unknown (Warner’s NFL intro was to be cut for some guy named Favre. Then he played in Europe or the Arena Football League.

Who knows? I listened to Taylor’s press conference. Dude is taking all kinds of online mathematics. Old Dominion University (Kevin Broom’s Alma mater). I have a math degree.

So I’m well pleased. Heineken dude — I hope he starts! Let Alex be Fitz-Magic, because he’s obviously more hurt than the WFT wants to let on.

The best bet is to let this guy who Philly hasn’t scouted start, and have Alex be Willis Reed. Make an appearance for confidence sake.

Smith definitely needs to dress as if he’s playing.
Bye bye Beal.

Kyle Allen is a ERFA you sign to a dirt cheap deal to be your backup. Of these other guys, maybe Trubisky but no. We are entering a 3 year Super Bowl window with this D and caproom and need to take full advantage of it with the best QB trade assets can buy. We've talked Stafford but Carr and Ryan are potential realistic options too. If Stafford isn't available, I would give up a 2nd + Settle for Carr

I'd still rather go for Mariota - who shouldn't cost more than a 5th rounder - as the Raiders won't want to spend 10.6 mil on their backup QB. Skins still have major needs other than QB, so I don't want to trade high picks or use 20 mil of cap room on the QB - if we don't have to. Agreed on Allen.

Help—where can I stream this game?

Verizon is fighting with NBC so you can’t get NBC on Fios/Verizon right now

WFT O-line needs to protect Alex in the 2nd half. He can barely move, but if he's protected, he can get it done. Unfortunately, our RB's are terrible pass blockers. Philly's secondary is really green right now. Skins lack of LBers really showed. Holcomb made 2 horrible penalties, and he might be our best LBer. Man, I hope Alex gets the W.

Alex Smith looks slower than Robin Lopez out there.

It looks like both teams are/were trying to lose.

I imagine the next time Philly comes to play in NY, the Gintz and their fans will be somewhat fired up. That was a disgraceful decision by Philly's coach, but I'll take the win. We're going to the playoffs!

September 13th I predicted this.

I thought this team would be 8-8 and make the playoffs.
Bye bye Beal.

The Philly coach made sure they draft 6th, and not 9th.

No one can fault him IMO. Giants lost twice to the WFT. They really don’t deserve playoffs (nor does WFT IMO)

How can anybody be happy about this...

Would have preferred they gave Heinicke a shot, Alex Smith isn't really helping the team out there, just doesn't look right the way he's moving out there.

I sort of get that Washington kind of owes it to Smith to play out the season, I just don't have much faith in him being able to lead the offense to generate the points they'll need in the playoffs.

Now that Washington is in the playoffs, it's their responsibility to appreciate that fact and try to win against Tampa Bay. They need to make another decision on Alex Smith. With TB's pass rush, is it even safe for him to play? My thinking is - unless he's significantly more mobile than he was last night, he should not play. It's too much of a risk for his long-term health, and the team stands a better chance with Taylor Heinicke.

Yeah, I was thinking the same during the game - with a win Smith can say he got them to the playoffs and can take comeback player of the year, but he's already left it all out on the field. He's basically Gary Busey's character from Rookie of the Year when he let's his arm go to get the team to the world series. (I'm sure nobody's gonna get that, but it was one of my fave movies as a kid lol.)

The defensive line gives them a shot against Tampa because Brady has shown this year that he will throw picks if he's pressured. But the offense has to show up and Smith showed last night you can only count on him for about a quarter. They have to get the kid ready to play this week, cuz even if they don't start him they'll still probably need him.

Great analogy to ROTY. We have a puncher's chance to win it, but the worst case scenario would be to see Alex carted off. He's done his job and then some times a ton by getting us there. Now, he doesn't have the elusiveness to protect himself, so the coaches should protect him.

They're going to get blown apart by TB12. It'll be pointless.

I'm happy for Alex but would prefer another option next year.

Also laughable that everyone's butt hurt about Hurts getting pulled as if he's prime Alex Luck. Dude is wack.
