I think its way too early to call them a disappointment. Their schedule is just laughable. both LA teams, Houston, 2x GSW and Utah (tbh, is this the hardest schedule to start a season in nba history?) and they went 3:3.

Their big big problem right now is Nurkic I think. He looks HORRIBLE.

I don’t know.. watching Portland it seems like they’re not that good. I think they need a true star next to Dame. Harden would be great for them imo.

I agree Nurkic is playing bad. Not sure what’s going on with him. I hope he gets it together soon

Harden would be ...interesting and then maybe they could find cheap solutions to sure up their horrible defense.

Nurkic hasn't been the same for a while, it feels like. If he can't get back into form they're probably screwed no matter what, but even if he does they need to upgrade on CJ...or Covington if they can use CJ to turn him to someone that could actually bother Kawhi & LeBron, while opening a starting spot for GTJ.

Harden would be great for them if he & Dame got along.

a whilte? He was a monster in the bubble then ran into an elite Lakers team. He will turn it around, i mean just remember it was only a month ago when 99% of the Knicks board wanted to trade Orange Julius

After all, it's a team game. If you think Damian Lillard ever underachieved as an individual in a situation where he really should have advanced instead, then I bet you don't watch enough full games and rely merely on highlights. I don't know what else could lead to such a terrible assumption.

His team has been lacking ever since they let Aldridge go and even then they weren't deep enough or elite defensively.

There's not a single player who could ever get it done on his own. Between titles, LeBron and Kobe both missed the playoffs.

What you're concluding about Lillard being overrated is madness, it's just very off.

Yeah, it's been only 7 years since CJ and 'Superstar' Dame are playing together. Let's just also pretend that they didn't get swept or gentlemen swept every single year of that span.

The shortened off season and quick preseason along with the injuries from that abbreviated process makes the first 10 or so games of the season no real indicator of where these teams will wind up by season end.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but wasn't he struggling to defend the rim in the bubble as well? I thought that his D had suffered since that bad break a couple of years ago; but if I'm wrong about that & his D has only been trash this season, then that's a lot more promising for Portland.

It seems like every player has up and down periods BUT around here, people continually fail to deal with those phases in a reasonable fashion. Established elite talent like Curry, Dame, PG, but also other players like Siakam, Nurkic or Tatum in his second (!) year are being written off and basically sht on over and over again on this board and it really is a pitiful display of cluelessness every single time.

Of course these posters never own up to that BS and that's kinda annoying. Hey, I may have to eat crow on Lamelo, so what. But at least I have a point when I say he's garbage because of his shooting and athleticism. But with Curry, Dame or George slander I don't even know what to make of that...

It seems like it. That may also be the case with Cavs, GSW, Brooklyn and NYK, among so many others.

I mean I definitely see a growing chorus of people hating on them though (not Dolan Trump I mean, others too).

Over a period of seven years they got swept (I guess) ,.. .they also swept teams (i think) and certainly beat good teams ranked ahead of them..you make them sound like the Knicks :D

If your criteria is winning it all then yes I guess you could say they are a disappointment...them and all the other playoff contenders that a haven't won. I think they are moderately successful considering the talent they have.

Huge blow even if it's for 4 games. It's not just the scoring. He's been filling a lot of the gaps when Kyrie was on the bench and without Dinwiddie.

Levert about to get all he can eat. He's been awful to start the year so maybe this kicks his ass into shape.

Good chance at a 0-4 week
