I think the better question is does Bacon even stay in the rotation at all when Fournier and Ennis are back?

I expect the starting line will be... Fultz-Fournier-Ennis-Gordon-Vucevic when Clifford has everyone available, which appears it will be soon.

With Anthony-MCW-Ross-Clark-Birch off the bench, but unless Clifford is gonna downsize (which is really out of character for him) and move Clark out of the mx, then one of Ennis/Bacon appears primed to be out of the rotation entirely.

Do you really think MCW is a better starter than Evan?

I dislike Evan as much as the next guy but if I watch MCW brick another layup I might cancel League Pass.
I don't like MCW either and I'm glad they only played him 17 minutes. If Garland and Fournier are both back, I'll give the edge to the Cavs. Fournier just isn't going to slow down Sexton at all.

Fair enough - I'm of the mind that with Fournier we'll play a lot better offensively due to the spacing benefit.

We can agree that we need a better starting 2 than either of them though :)

Interesting.
Maybe a few less minutes for MCW? MCW is the better defender, but offers very little on offense. Not saying Bacon is great offensively.

lol. I threw my remote at the wall after one of his bricks yesterday. Surely he has to be told to only shoot from now on if its at end of the shot clock. He is just so damn bad on offense. Defense is great but we need to draw a line somewhere. Sheesh

Defense is great but we need to draw a line somewhere. Fultz is the one who suffers most. AG should be the only one that cant shoot that plays in same line up. Have Fournier and a another shooter next to Fultz it will open his game up so much more, good luck stopping him driving to the rim one on one then. As it now he has to go through 3 players every time. We really need an upgrade at SF. Ennis/Bacon won't cut it.

Idk, I mean I certainly didn't see anything to get excited about. We pulled away in the 3rd quarter against a nonplayoff team without 4 of their rotational players. I actually thought Cole had a good game. His passing continues to be better than expected. AG got hot from 3. Vuc continues to be really good for us. Fultz is a major concern for me. His confidence looks absolutely shot again and the second-guessing is now resulting in turnovers.

I actually thought MCW's defense against Sexton was exceptional. The numbers don't show it per se, but he hounded him for most of the night.

I think Bamba should 100% be getting minutes over Birch, for no reason other than the fact that we aren't good and need to be prioritizing the development of young players over anything else. We invested a top 6 pick into him and just picked up his option. He needs to play.

However, I think it's a bit of a reach to think this game earned him more minutes. I mean he was okay, but it's not like I saw anything new that would make me think Cliff would give him minutes over Birch (who had a good game off the bench). Small sample size, but he looked much the same to me.

My guess is.. 2-3 games Ennis is still the backup. Kind of like easing him back to the rotation. Then when it shows that Ennis is better than Bacon, he will get the starting spot.

Then again the key word is IF.
