You sound like a quitter.

If the league can gift us just a star talent I think the Knicks could win a championship in time. I don’t know if it’s our pick, the Mavs pick, or something else but you got to keep hope alive.

Regular season is one thing, playoffs are another. Also we are literally in the toughest division in the league. Not a bad team in the division if the Raptors wake up. Also if they are bad they sure woke up and beat us...... Ya’ll need to have a little more patience.

I think we can make the playoffs and I'm the quitter? Ok, I quit having a loser mentality, sorry everybody

20-30 range is for the mavs pick and even if we miss the playoffs it looks unlikely we will be picking top 10. right now our picks would be #15 and #20. I'm just saying I'm going to look more at the players in the mid 1st round instead of hyperfocusing on players we will never get like suggs and cunnhingham

I'm skeptical of Kispert. That Gonzaga team has better spacing & ball movement than many NBA teams, so I have concerns about how all of those guys will look in a less beneficial environment.

You know, I was just wondering if his career would've gone any differently if he was coming around now, earlier today

Looks like Kuminga put a lot of work in. His handle seems to be very improved. I want him if we strike out on Cade/Green/Suggs.

The premise of the comment used as a basis for this exchange is 'if he plays this way the rest of the season' which you conveniently ignored but alas I'm here to remind you of the point.

LOL exactly!

Let's say we get lucky and both ours and the Mavs pick are between picks 10 and 18. What do you think it would take to move up into the top 6? I'm pretty sure Cade, Suggs and Mobley will be untradeable for most teams, but we might be able to trade up and nab Kuminga, Green or Jalen Johnson.

Would you do 2021 NYK 1st , 2021 Mavs 1st, 2021 Pistons 2021 2nd (Projected 31) for pick #4?

You think that would be enough or would we have to throw in NYK 2022 or Mavs 2023 as well?

He's Ziaire's biggest threat to be my #1 prospect crush this year

I think Ziaire's smarter & has the better stroke, but Kuminga is bigger/more-powerful & more explosive, while also ticking a lot of the boxes for me. Still need to actually see him in games to get a feel for his vision though.

Ziarie is talented but he’s extremely inefficient. He should stay another year in college. I’m going with Kuminga all day lol

So far, but so far he's only played two games without an offensive lineman brace on his Knee. So we don't really know yet how efficient he is at the college level.

FWIW Efficiency was one of the things he had over Kuminga heading into this season and there's still plenty of season left for Ziaire to show us where he really is...especially if Bryce Wills is out for long and they are forced to put the ball in Williams' hands some more.

I acknowledge that Kuminga is the better prospect atm & will probably make a more immediate impact, especially as an iso scorer. And I like him a lot too...maybe more than Suggs if his passing has come along as well.

I just like Ziaire's game even more, and the things he has over Kuminga are the things that I generally value most...especially for a kid who we want to play next to RJ & Magic someday.

Nobody is talking about Kyree Walker but man he's a MAJOR sleeper if he declares for the draft, which he's expected to do.

Those my top 4. If we miss on Cade or Suggs, I’m fine with IQ taking the keys.
Green or Kuminga next to RJ 8-)

Hopefully a team values Mobley enough to push one of them to like 5. Might be able to trade up enough.

No he's not in HS. I think he dropped out after his junior year and after listening to his story on the No Chill podcast it answered a lot of questions about his decision. A lot of the things he was saying made sense the reasoning behind his decision is completely justified imo. But that kid sounds mature and there is definitely an "It" factor to his personality. There is definitely a killer mentality in regards to his personality but not being able to see how that translates over to the games leaves a lot of question marks. But I will say this, he's intriguing for sure. If he came in and lit the league on fire I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Honestly I haven’t watched him play in years. I just remember he kept going up against smaller kids lol he had a lot of clout on YouTube. I gotta do some more homework on him

I don't think anybody has seen him play in a couple years but that's part of the intrigue

Whenever you get a chance check him out chopping it up with Gil

He's definitely somebody on my radar as a major sleeper

I'm a VU fan and right now the Knicks are looking like that - I used to sweat getting top HS picks then Jay Wright changed his approach and got guys who fit and they turned into NBA first rounders. I'm getting to feel Thibs is the pro equivalent of Jay. Whoever we get he'll shape into the next Randle/IQ/etc.

Return to New York Knicks
