Game 8 Clips hosting Spurs (2-4) 7 p.m. Prime Ticket

Post#1 » by Kelphus » Tue Jan 5, 2021 4:34 pm

This isn't the Spurs I remember. Clips favored by 8 points.

Prediction - Kawhi bounces back, but still no Morris.

Lue will manage stars' minutes, given a game tomorrow.
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

Thanks for the game thread, Mr. K. No disrespect to Ducler but I like it better when we do it--with a Pacific game time and what channel it's on.

Since the games are sans cheerleaders, I didn't think it was appropriate to include my traditional dancer photo... any other idea to liven up the threads?

I'm curious to see this Keldon Johnson kid... I don't remember him at all from last season, but now he's their starting SF and putting up numbers.

Sucks George is out. I’m hoping it’s a *wink-wink* way to get him rest. Sit him tonight and Leonard tomorrow.

Leonard was balling before the mask. It’s clearly bothering him and cannot come off soon enough.

Defense and rebounding by the starters could use a lot of work

Frustrating game. Ugh.

Nothing from Ibaka, Bev, and Kennard.

Only Lou and Jackson from the bench.

This team is never winning anything with so many defensive liabilities on the roster and it's baffling how our (overrated) front office still doesn't see it.

Lue should be fined anytime he plays Kennard, Lou and Jackson

He's literally Doc 2.0. Same three-guard lineups (even four-guard lineups now), same disregard for defense, same cluelessness when the team doesn't make it easy for him with a hot shooting night. Never liked the hire and it looks worse by the game.

Yeah some type of trade or some kind of move will happen. Even beyond PG being out we have to many bad defender guards

I'd love to believe that, but last year's team had the same issue and the front office kept both Lou and Trez and added another defensive liability in Reggie. Then in the offseason, they traded Shamet for someone who's just as bad as he is defensively. I don't have much faith in the FO to fix this problem no matter how many scrubs turn into Steph Curry against us.

It’s early and injuries and PG13 being out hurt the team defensively. Morris also being a good defender is a hole that could of been slotted on the wings.

I put this more on the GM then Lue. Jackson and Patterson should of never received contracts before we filled the guard issue. Lou and Kennard being such bad defenders you can’t play them together unless one is super hot. We compound a defensive issue stacking another bad defender in Jackson and a raw defender in Mann
