Kuminga has to be the guy we target. African Kawhi

“And on the defensive end, he’s by far our best defender…We put him on the opposing team’s center and Jonathan’s big enough to be able to hold his own but can switch out and guard any other position. He can for sure guard 1-4, so all-around he had a great game for us.”

Reggie Hearn of the Ignite, who has played for other G League teams, said Kuminga’s ceiling is that of Kawhi Leonard. Meantime, Kuminga and his teammates got their first taste of action against older, experienced pros.

Tank for Kuminga!!!

There have legit been 3 clear cut #1 picks in the last 20 years with transcendent talent potential know PRIOR to the draft.

Lebron
AD
Zion
(probably Durant as well)

Not Blake
Not Drose
Not John wall (although he was clear cut cuz his draft was garbage)
Not Irving (not transcendent)

I would say KAT as well. He looked like a bigger AD. I would say if Embiid wasn't injured he would've been clear #1 and transcendent. I've never seen a big with that good footwork since Hakeem, then he gained some weight.

Yes, Durant as well.

With the %'s altered, it's okay to be 4-8 worst.

If that’s the case I’m on team Suggs

Cade can actually shoot, hes 37% on the three point line and 81% at the free throw line. He's not quite the passer that Simmons is, but either way he is actually nothing like Simmons.

Cade is nothing like Simmons. Not as athletic but a way better shooter, more versatile scorer and a better leader. He also controls the game much better than Simmons does. With that being said, I still prefer Suggs.

I’m just a big Brandon Roy fan so if someone is compared to him, that’s the player I want lol.

Its hard to compare he could just as well turn into D'angelo Russell.

Pascal looking like himself while us losing is an ideal day.

I'm sorry guys but getting a player in this deep draft, selling off our 3-5 level player assets for multiple picks, and hopefully drafting a Trae level talent is just more enticing than running the course.

Yes, even a re-tool and not tank. Use the high pick on Greg Brown and any other 1st pick on Kai Jones. They are helping Texas to a #4 ranking.

Sign Olynyk for the MLE.

PG FVV - Flynn
SG TD - Thomas - Harris
SF OG - Watson/Brown
PF Siakam - Boucher - Brown
C Olynyk - Len - Kai Jones

I’m good with either obviously but I think Kuminga has a higher ceiling and being a foreign player would help us keep him throughout his career. Cade could always suddenly decide he wants to move back home to Texas like Kawhi did with LA

Me too, didjt follow any of these guys but out of the guys being posted here I like Kuminga the most. Which position has the best players in the league and see their makeup as a player... SF two way players that aren't small or soft.

He has good handles. These mixtapes focus too much on dunks but Green can shoot and handle the ball. He needs to work on his passing but next to Siakam and Lowry he'll learn how to pass quick.

He'll be playing against grown men in the D league so we'll see how his defense is.

Yup. The last several champions have been led by either Lebron, KD, or Kawhi. Clearly you need to be elite at that position and have a 2 way superstar with that prototype and build. Kuminga fits the bill

And pretty much the last team that wasn’t elite at that position to win was the warriors in 2015 where Iggy was the one the actually be the FMVP. Before that was again Kawhi, Lebron, and even earlier Kobe

I'm waiting to see how bad our record gets or if any trades are made. This record can still be fixed in a few weeks if the team gets it together.

Looking at the lottery picks from the last couple of years, it looks stacked af.

Zion
Ja
Doncic
Trae
Tatum
Mitchell
Bam
Ingram
Brown
Sabonis
Murray
Lavine
Ayton
MPJ
Sexton
JJJ
Towns
Simmons
Fox
Porzingis
Booker
Embiid

There's only 2 all-nba picks outside lottery the last 6 years, Jokic &
Spoiler:
Siakam

But looking at that list, there's a decent amount of potential superstars and game changing players, and I would argue most of them are easily better than current Siakam. Sign me up all day for a lottery pick this season

In your average draft i feel like teams **** up when they overthink the lottery picks. Trying to be smarter than everybody. No cute stuff.

You guys really think we won't finish 10th and win the playoff play in? I don't want to get my hopes up at all cuz I'm all for a tank this year seems like the perfect time.

Basically the Kings and Suns in most recent drafts and also the Bulls but it’s actually kinda worked for them with White and Patrick Williams so far
