All left knees.

Maybe just put braces on the rest of the guys left knee's to stop whoever is stabbing the Magic voodoo doll...
The court must be tilted.

This was tough as a Magic fan because I felt like Fultz was just starting to finally feel confident as a contributor and the results show just that. Now, he has to rehab from a traumatic injury and basically start from square one. Between this and Isaac, it's definitely a dark time for the organization as someone suggested above.

Makes the contract look even worse for Weltman. Considering his 3 wasn’t any better (but lied about it), I’m not sure why they rushed to resign him anyway.

There isn't another team outside of Detroit who needs a top 3 pick in this draft more than we do. Detroit recognizes that and is 1-7. We are 6-2 and are happily staying mediocre enough to keep ourselves from getting one.

The young guys need to play and we need to move off veterans. We should start with AG.

I know this FO and this coaching staff doesn't have it in them to do what needs to be done though. Truly some of the darkest days in our franchise's history. We need a great player as badly as ever.

Horrible for Markelle. Even more so for Weltman and Hammonds chances of sticking around. Those extensions probably cost them their jobs. The cupboard looks pretty bare outside of Vuc and Ross. The thought of Cole Anthony as our starting point guard makes me all hollow inside. Ugh.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

I'm a man of science and facts, so I don't believe in superstitions like curses. We're not cursed because curses aren't real. Injuries happen when large, very athletic men get going. It has just happened to us in a disproportionately impactful way. Or, another angle, is to ask ourselves if it means anything that we had 2 young guys tear their left ACLs eurostepping. Are we teaching incorrect footwork on that move? There's a crap load of eurostepping every night in the NBA, it's a standard move now. But we're the ones who just had 2 young guys blow out their knee with the move. As an organization, we need to examine how we're teaching the move. Maybe we're not actively teaching it, maybe it's something that guys just do on their own. Ok fine, we still need to call timeout and examine it. It's something that can end your season if performed incorrectly, so it needs to be monitored and controlled.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I do.
That was when we got beat by the Hawks in 2011 and I knew our golden days were over.
I stayed depressed at home for about one week.
But I have grown up and feel less attached to those kind of things so I will be ok this time.

To me this is worse than when we lost dwight

Isaac is out for the year and has shown hes extremely fragile\injury prone
Fultz now has his second major injury (TOS), and this one is the knees, which is especially bad for a player like fultz
Chuma is coming off a torn ACL and looking REAL unathletic so far
Bamba is a bust and likely wont finish the season on the team (bet he'll be traded for a 2nd round pick which we will trade away on draft day)

Thats suppose to be the future core of this team and at this point, who knows when we will see them all play together at full strength again

and with the way this team is built, and with a 6-2 start, this is likely a 30 win team. So not even a good pick to hope for next year

Future is looking VERY bleak right now

This sums it up really well for me. All the suffering of us fans through years of bad basketball have lead to a core either injured, or coming back from serious injuries, none of whom stand out as an individual game changer (Isaacs defense aside). They all have so much developing to do, and they're all hurt or not playing!
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

I have a feeling it has a lot more to do with strength and conditioning than anything. Our players always take long to heal and have lingering or lesser injuries (Back Spasms).

Really unfortunate for fultz... 1 healthy season in his first 4 seasons.

If they don’t pivot to the draft now, we are going to need a 25th amendment-equivalent for the FO.

Actually 25th on ownership.

Obviously this is the farthest thing from ideal for this team, but why does everything have to be so doom-and-gloom?

Call me delusional, but "I like this team."

I realize they're likely going to struggle and that we may be on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs this year.

...but maybe not.

Either way, I don't care.

You can point to the competition and say the Magic have had it easy, whatever... But what I've seen from these players through eight games makes me proud to call myself a Magic fan. Not that I need to feel proud to be a fan.

This group of guys has been my favorite since before the late 2010 trades and I'll be damned if this latest round of injuries changes my enjoyment and appreciation for what we have now.

We knew we weren't going to make much headway without Isaac this season anyway.

And do you think JI and Fultz are going to be down on themselves and give up? No, they're going to work and stay positive and aim to be better then before. That's all we can ask for.

Imagine if they looked at it like some are here saying "I'm cursed" and "we suck again!" It doesn't do anyone any good. It's your choice to look at it that way, but I ask you: do you like feeling like crap?

Gordon, Ross and Vooch look fantastic and the new guys are producing.

Let's go, Magic!

I'm so gutted for him, I so wanted him to prove the haters wrong. He is a talent we will just have to wait another 12 months to see this.

The kid doesn't deserve this, this one really hurts.

Unlike Chuma, we already know that Fultz is a starting level PG and we already know that Isaac is an All NBA Defensive 3/4, so this will make it all the more sweeter when they both come back smarter and stronger than ever at some point in the '21-'22 season.
