Sexton is only player in the NBA averaging at least 25.0 points while shooting 50 percent from the floor and three .551 and .542 so far this season. So despite the lack of converstions on his dime attempts esp with teammates passing up open looks he deserves a bit of a pass no pun intended

Looks like O is back and will play tonight. I am looking forward to it. Now if we can just get Dg an KLove back on the court we might have the depth again to win some more.

Cavs haven't hit a 3 in the last game and half.

pretty sure LNJ hit 1 so thats 4 .Sexton made the other 3. Cedi streaking again at 0-7 from deep in fact he was atrocious as a shooter tonight despite making some nice reads and passes to players at the rim. But so was most of the roster.
Sexton of course looked a little frustrated trying too hard to create for others only for most to pass up looks or miss open shots etc. He will need to take a page out of DGs book and start dumping off to bigs ALOT if they are going to force him to be that guy instead the one looking to score.

I mean right now if the ball is in his hand the only shot that might be higher percentage than whatever shot he puts up would be an inside dish to a big. Even that is just a might.

Considering he cant shoot much off the dribble he should be destroying defenses with his dribble drives for layups and dump offs to bigs. But hes not there mentally yet (if he will ever be). He still looks really confused as to when to be aggressive and get his shot and when to be a facilitator. Its all over the place.

Two other things I noticed:

- Cedi needs to chill TF out. He goes through these stretches for 5-10 games where he cant make a shot to save his life but he is still out there taking 3s off the dribble and fadeaways. We need to get healthy, like ASAP or this season could spiral out of control fast. Love and Garland are both such big pieces. Even Delly not being out there as a seondary facillitator is killing us

- Drummond needs to learn to never dribble the ball ever again, he has had 5+ turnovers seemingly every night for the last few games and it all stems from 'okay Im bored Im going to get a shot up'. Ive also never seen a big man his size miss so many layups around the rim.

He actually has a pretty good pull-up at at around the key, it just hasn't been falling the past 2 games.

Love and Garland healthy would do wonders for our spacing. At the moment, there's no reason for opponents to do anything but camp in the paint; so even dump offs are not going to be high percentage shots.

right they can't win in WAS with Beal scoring 60 just like Sexton going for 25 an night isnt going to equate to wins without stops and transition buckets all game long but it wont matter much if Sexton facilitates and noone converts or passes up looks etc not without another Sexton or better scoring option to attract attn to justify it. Love and Garland certainly can help attract attn and are missed but the real missing link right now is Exums defense. Luckily O is back and maybe they can get DG back soon.
