Carrasco's contract is 3 years 12 million per. They saw what Sugano wanted at 15 per and said no thanks

not true, they really liked sugano but got the vibe he wanted to play out west.

I hope soo, sounds like it was a good deal for us Mets fans. I will say I'm going to miss Gimenez, has all the tools to be a all star player. I generally was loving the idea of building the team from within like the Knicks but you can't pass on this deal

at minimum it gives us more leverage with him. No point in negotiating with yourself. We have a number we are comfortable signing springer...Springer loses all his negotiating power if the mets go in a different direction.

I don’t think people realize just how good Carrasco is because a lot of fans haven’t seen him all that much not being in the NL. Since 2014 he’s an AL SP going against tough lineups every year while pitching to a 3.2-3.4 ERA. Over 200Ks 3 of those years. In shortened seasons over a K per inning. What a bounce back from Leukemia. Last season a 2.9 ERA with 83Ks in 67inn. He’s been one of the most criminally underrated SP in baseball for years.
