I'm sure Schumer and Pelosi wouldn't be stupid enough to make such a public proclamation without first knowing that they had McConnell and McCarthy on their side plus at least a good number of cabinet members. It would be political malpractice not to have done so.

CNN is reporting that Biden is not in favor of impeachment, but won't stop it.

As far as I understand it, if Ossoff and Warnock are certified winners you can swear them in prior to the inauguration and take over the Senate

I find it very encouraging. I was saying all eyes are on the FBI now, but I was expecting to wait until after the 20th to hear this. We've got the DC and the DoJ leaping into action

I think you're right about that. It's how Mark Kelly got seated in Arizona almost immediately thereafter that special election.

 :D

A lot of these idiots are facing a minimum of 10 years via Trump’s executive order of punishment for destroying federal property. Which was issued in response to BLM protests.

Oh how sweet it is.

Trump concedes, more or less.

I've thought about it and as a matter of principle, he has to go. Pelosi should get back in there and draft simple article that the Senate can approve quickly. Have a 1-day trial.

At least House should try. Passive solutions suck. Do something.

Wow, he's scared out of his mind. This is the first time in four years he took someone elses advice and read their script for what a president is supposed to sound like instead of winging it with his usual Trumpy BS. He still sounds like the douchiest speaker who ever lived, but this is Trump trying to perform for his freedom.

It won't work. He's going to be tried for treason now. Trump is soiling himself with fear

Trump celebrating while the Capitol falls - not fiction.

In case you haven't seen this, on January 6, 2020, while the riot was going on in our Capitol, the Trump family was celebrating their handiwork. This was a video published on social media by a member of the party. It was taken down, but not before others had downloaded it. Please look at this disgusting display of our nation's leader enjoying the harm he has done to the United States.

I received this and believe it is true. I have not edited this video in any way, and don't know who put this online originally or who downloaded it before it was removed from social media. I promise, you'll see a lot more of this online soon.

First time seeing this, but it looks like trump waiting to take the stage before his 11:30am speech, before the chaos started. The stage on screen looks to be the same one he stumped on.

If there's more of this there might be something to drill down on, but there is not that much there in the sense of incriminating evidence frankly
