The expectations for the team last year were inflated because of the media narrative that Luka "almost beat" the Clippers. But people forget really that the Clippers are a hot mess. Had the Mavs faced the Jazz or the Nuggets, it would have been an easy 1st round exit.

Uhmmm this is not the same Luka we saw in the bubble. He was cooking PG and Kawhi but now has problems getting around Jokic. At this rate he'll need 2 months to get back to his usual self.

But just in general, games like today we see how important Curry was for this team and people jumped on me when i said Mavs will miss him a lot.

Luka can't get in the lane. I can't tell if it is the defense, a bad ankle or just a bad game. Take that away and the Mavs don't have a good offense.

4/8 FT, 1/5 3p, 5TOs. It's deja vu all over again. I could at least tell myself that Luka was taking better care of the ball and was better on FTs...

It's incredible that the team is still in this game... I guess? Hard to know considering that I see nothing showing me that they can take over.

At what point do we consider that Curry was better than Richardson? His defense is good, sometimes, but his offense is bad way too often.

The problem with Luka being so out of shape is he can only play aggressive in spurts. He is not able to play like this the whole game so he is playing too passively half of the time. When he is on, he is still great but that is not enough. Need to stay aggressive the whole game, not just 15 min. This team cant win consistently enough if Luka is not 100%.

There is really no one on the Mavs coaching squad who could tell them to have ONE guy close to Jokic entire game? How many open shots has Jokic have so far? Incredible...

EDIT : I can't believe the Mavs are leading... This has been such an ugly game, with so many mistakes.

Mavs should be looking to get anything they can for Richardson, I've seen enough to know he isn't a difference maker at all

It’s still early with no preseason. He finished strong though.

Denver ran a zone that did confuse them. They figured it out though in the end and got the win.

You must be watching an entirely different game. Also people usually get tired at the end of the game not the beginning.
