If you go the capitol dressed in riot gear, you didn't get caught up in the moment, honey. You were on a mission.
These guys are truly idiots.

Because blue lives matter was only a shout down to Black Lives Matter.
All the blue lives matter mother **** and white evangelical Christians all of a sudden got real quite after a cop was murdered. Hell I saw the police union head in Chicago so the domestic terrorists were okay because all they did was trespass. I’m not surprised but genuinely **** all these people and anyone who supports them

Hes baaack. And this doesn’t help his case in front of Congress and the government. Tacit approval of the insurrection.

With Graham now saying that impeachment would not be supported by the Senate... do you still think the Democrats would still push forward with impeachment proceedings?
Honest question - I know technically he would be impeached (but not removed from office), but would this make democrats look worse and further antagonize those in the center?

I would do it. You have to try. Get people on record for where they stand. If there is anybody in the "center" that would be antagonized by this, they are not in the "center". The FKn capitol just got attacked

I suspect they will have enough votes in the Senate, if it comes to vote, but McConnell can make sure it isn't brought to the floor, so that's a problem. George Conway says there are 67 votes for impeachment in the Senate. I would not be surprised to see some in the Republican Party using this opportunity to distance themselves from terrorism (too late, but better than nothing.)

unreasonable searches and seizures?
Not sure what you're referring to
not surprised I got the amendment wrong. I was referring to what I heard on the news about him breaking an amendment regarding his inciting a riot. That it would prevent him from holding public office again.

I don't even think McConnell will block it. He's not happy.

Actual treason from top to bottom
Trump is going to die in prison now
How can it not be?
I'm not the most vindictive person so it is not me being bloodthirsty when I say it either, so that is absolutely the right question at this point:
How can he not go to prison for this?
You can't go back on this. He is now Benedict Donald. You have to put him away for the sake of the country. If this traitor is allowed to walk now then I don't believe this is a nation with any hope for true law and order whatsoever.
If you listen to what Biden said when introducing Merrick Garland, it's clear that if Garland doesn't believe that Trump's (expected) self-pardon is legal, he may have the Justice Department pursue him for multiple crimes. I am not vindictive either, but he must be stopped and what he did must be held up as an example for all to see - traitors and criminals, especially those in high office, will not be tolerated ever again. I want those who enable these criminals and are complicit should also be prosecuted.

Re: 2020 Presidential Election Thread presents: The Aftermath (Part 2)
Dems have to impeach and let the Republicans slow walk it or vote it down -- that's on them. President perpetrated a big lie (which he's basically now admitting) and people died. He gave them comfort DURING the incident. If you don't impeach and remove, you don't have any standards.
