Grant getting a lot of love now

Who thought we would even chase him in free agency?

I love this team man. Hopefully Blake will go on a tear, and we can trade him. Grant is looking like a damn good deal.

Think we'd be on the treadmill with Wood & Grant as our top 2
guldakot wrote:Yeah Grant is the real damn deal. Its a good thing we let Wood go, because if we hadnt this team would easily be above 500.

The only decision with unanimous support (Killian) turned out to be most people’s biggest disappointment lol

thus far..lets not write off Killian just yet. Honestly never understood the commotion about the off season and the corresponding Weaver hate.

I'm just gonna pretend Bey was the 7th pick in the draft until Hayes gets back

Most of the general board thought the Grant contract was an overpay. Looking at his shooting breakdowns last year he was great in catch and shoot and he was horrible off the dribble. Of course Weaver knew him from his OKC days so perhaps he saw enough in him to know he could do more.

Surely you're not going to assume our GM did his homework?

The Suns looked like the ones who were tanking, what a capitulatuon.

Bey hitting some OT daggers makes the win ok. I may have underestimated Grant too, we'll see what happens if/when defenses start to key in on him.

Was good to see Blake catching it down low and being aggressive. Hope he can build and just maybe have some sort of value

Damn, I have to hand it to Weaver, he is changing the culture with bringing in guys that play until this last whistle. I thought it was gonna be a blowout when the Sun went up 23 in the 2nd quarter. The team just seems to have a “Never Say Die” mentality. Love the Josh JACKSON acquisition, Jeremi Grant is really amazing at times, the finish at the rim in the final minute was tough never say die type of move. He didn’t punk out and go with a jumper, he took it hard to the rim and didn’t back down. It was also nice seeing Blake in the paint tonight. This team may not have an abundance of talent, but it has heart and grit and I’ve missed seeing that in a Pistons team for a long time.

He’s a clear top 5 talent.

I was thinking tonight, it was smart if Weaver to chase three 1st rounders. If one busts, you still have a shot with the other two.

With that being said, I still believe in Killian. I just think even Pre injury, his confidence is shot. Go watch his European clips. Kid played with so much swagger.

He will figure it out.

Oh I believe in Killian. He’s 19. As a 23 year old, I had no idea what I was doing at 19 - came a long way - and still really don’t know what I’m doing. I never understood Weaver hate either. He got us 3 first rounders and didn’t put us back on the treadmill. Unorthodox, roundabout methodology but that was the most important thing.

Josh Jackson just looked nervous playing his old team. Didn’t like that Weaver had such a short leash with him, Sekou, and Stewart. I don’t care if we won, he’s still chasing playoffs in my opinion. Don’t think he’s the right guy for this team.

The Pistons were what we thought they were.
What we thought they were. We played them last season. We played them the whole game, everybody played four quarters. The Pistons are who we thought they were. That’s why we took the damn court. If you want to crown them, then crown their ********* But they are who we thought they were. And we let them off the hook.
