Jordan getting extended mins was 100% political. He has done nothing to warrant the time that he got. It cost us a win

This has nothing to do with politics, KD & Kyrie aren't even in the building. This is mind boggling, baffling levels of stupidity & incompetence by Steve Nash. It's how to lose a game that is basically being given to you by the opposition.

Breh do you seriously think they didn’t make promises to Jordan for playing time? That was the conversation most of last year after Kenny was fired , now we see DJ out there doing nothing and playing extended time when he provides us nothing. I’m not hearing that bs man. This is politics. Whether KD or Kyrie are in the building is a mute point. Nets paid this man for nothing more but being KD/Kyries friend PERIOD. Obviously he was going to get perks even if KD and Kyrie are out.

And part of the incompetence of Nash is allowing him to stay on the floor because more than likely, that’s what they agreed to.
Nope, this is all bunch of nonsense. Allen has consistently played more minutes, and has closed out games over DJ WITH KD & Kyrie. Nash overplayed DJ tonight in the 4th for inexplicable reasons, and it wasn't the usual rotation in the 4th. It's not politics.

I’m gonna say this. Yes they had a cold span towards the end, but Allen should have been in the game

Not sure the thinking of leaving DJ out there when you took a timeout with 3:30 minutes left.

I'm not going to act like I know what WOULD have happened if Allen came in at that point though, because our offense consisted of a bunch of TOs after that point, Allen wasn't necessarily going to fix that.

I'm actually not that down on Prince. We need our best guys out there. KD and Kyrie not being available is making me more upset than Prince's gaffes.

A trade where Prince and TLC gets traded for a high IQ player would single handedly lower my blood pressure.

This. Ask LeVert what he was doing on those turnovers. Allen isn't fixing that

Honestly, I feel like Nash forgot that the starting lineup played really well in the 3rd. No Allen is just inexcusable. Prince made some mistakes but he played well enough to atleast get a minute in the 4th. Especially with how TLC was playing.

Just strange. Ruined a night where LeVert was completely dominant.

Not sure how anyone can say that DJ and Allen are essentially the same level player though. DJ is literally a statue on the defensive glass, barely moves his feet on defense, and is useless offensively outside of hitting a cutter here and there.

Like, for the supposed enforcer on our team, why do we get wrecked in the paint and on the glass whenever he's out there? Not only that, but we also give up a ton of open 3s too. It isn't nearly that bad with Allen out there.

I don't think opposing players are afraid of Jordan in the paint at all. Quite the contrary, I think their eyes light up, cuz they know he's basically a statue who won't contest half the time cuz he just wants to pad his rebounding numbers.

Can we talk about these last min plays they are running. I’ve never seen a team line up at half court for a last min play. Wtf is that. They did it twice so far and neither time worked.

Nash needs to get a feel for momentum and substitutions. He is not doing it well so far. Not just this game either. I felt in this game he waited a little too long to put levert back in. He didn’t put Allen back in when they took the time out. Jordan was just standing there on defense not guarding anyone. The momentum changed right there.

Obviously other issues. They only showed up right before the half.

Jordan is awful and is lazy as hell. How many offensive rebounds did we give up in the late 4th?

Pure politics. Jordan probably whined about his declining minutes or something and Nash chose to manage egos instead of winning the damn game.

I've been sour on Jordan since Kenny got fired and he hasn't changed my opinion one bit.

Allen is the superior player. We saw him battle two top 5 centers and he came out victorious. He should be playing 32+ mins a night

Nash went way too long with both Allen, LeVert and Harris off the floor.

IMO, Nash felt that DJ was doing fine, because we did make the 8-0 run or whatever to take the lead late in the 4th with DJ on the court, so he may have wanted to roll with him even after the timeout at 3:30. But even if a bench guy is doing ok, you don't play him over your starters in crunch time. Like, how far do you take that? Prince is hot and is making a bunch of shots...do you keep say Kevin Durant on the bench and continue playing Prince, even in a close game with 2 minutes left? IDK, poor decision imo, but I don't think it necessarily cost us the game, we weren't scoring at all anyway because of really dumb decision-making down the stretch.
