Anthony, Bacon,Ennis, and Clark start, and Wall and Harden are held to a combined 29 points; and yet the Magic lose by 42 points.

What a weird box-score.

It is what it is.

Ennis-20 minutes, Clark-31 minutes, Bacon-28 minutes, Bone 28-minutes, and Mané 21-minutes: that is 128 minutes from players that are marginal to even being in the NBA.

EDIT: Aminu would start over Ennis, so one could count this as 5-starters out.

My reflections: the starters were terrible and the bench was worse.

Listen, if you want a high draft pick, last night's rotation is a surefire way to get there. Waive/trade Fournier, Move AG for a young player/pick, && then prepare to lose a lot of games because you certainly will with that lineup. Clark/Bacon/Bone/Birch are fringe NBA players && all played high minutes. Cole/Bamba are young and are not conducive to winning.

it certainly wouldn't be pretty to watch, but the end result is all that matters in a condensed season with no fans. It's a free hall pass to tank.

So long as there's an excuse like injuries (even though we've seen what they can do with a completely healthy year), Weltman will continue to kick the can down the road and pretend like it'll be different next season.

Didn't watch, but glad to see we rolled out a SL with 3/5 guys who don't belong in the NBA and Bamba/Anthony got some burn. That's what we need to do the rest of the year. Keep piling those losses. Now trade a few vets.

Yes. This is what I said in the Fultz injury thread. There's literally 5+ reasonable excuses for us to have the worst record in the league this season. WeHam MUST see this as that opportunity. Casual fans can blame injuries and with hardly any fans in the stands, we won't see the terrible empty arena optics of a tanking team. I doubt they trade Fournier and Gordon though.

Am I the only one who thought Bamba looked completely fine?

Like... yes, he has a low motor, but that's not new. He always appears to be coasting out there.

But at the end of the day, you just can't teach size and length and he has both in spades. Maybe he won't become anything, but not playing him is just goofy.

maybe there is something to this clifford/bamba tension thing because the way he looked last night, i honestly didn't see why he wasn't playing until now

That's the part that annoys me. I know Mo has gone through injuries, COVID-19, inconsistencies. A lot of holdbacks for a player deem a project to experience. That said, between the coaching staff and Mo himself, some compromises need to be made in order for Mo to become a reliable player in the rotation. Especially the state of where the Magic find themselves in.

beef between Bamba and coach is obvious
1st coach comes out and says Bamba isnt ready to start the season cause he deals with post covid issues.
Then Mo comes and basicly says it isnt true.
Then Mo stays in a doghouse while Cliff is doing same thing he did in Charlotte ...plays vet over a young guy.
Then that thing with when coach says he could play but Mo didnt feel like it cause he was hit with a ball on practice or something?lol
So he didnt feel like playing?
Why say such thing? just to ridicule the guy at least thats how I see it.That doesnt seem like a good relation to me.

Im not saying Bamba didnt deserve being in a doghouse as we all know his problems with conditioning and theres that overall lazyness aura around his persona.
Dude is in 3rd year and dumb and dumber need to start thinking what to do with the guy
...keep him ?...if so PLAY him as soon we will have to choose what is he...

a backup for Vuc?,.,,post Vuc starter or a trading chip?He cant be a future development material...forever

I know it;s garbage time and mostly against scrubs BUT he was battling against Cousins and the way he gobbles up the rebounds is very nice.

We already know Mo can shoot, dunk, rebound and block...all while playing a bit lazy. I'm guessing its just his attitude they don't like.
