Wizards return home after their away trip. They beat Minnesota (2nd worst team in the NBA) and Brooklyn by 1 point (Brooklyn had 20 turnovers, Wizards 7). After that Beal scored 60 points against Philly but they played no D. Last night they played in Boston and were down by, what, 20-30 points, but made a comeback and lost anyway.

Scott Brooks has proven to be probably the worst coach in the league and is clueless about rotations and defense. Bonga, Mathews and Wagner finally got some minutes last night but Brown is still in the doghouse.

Westbrook doesn't play because it's the second night of a back-to-back. He was horrible against Boston, shot 4/16 and had 7 turnovers. Starting-5 will likely be

Neto
Beal
Avdija
Hachimura
Bryant

Smith/Bonga/Bertans/Lopez will likely play off the bench, 10th guy is probably one of Brown/Mathews/Robinson. Gill will wave towel while keeping safe distance due to COVID-19 and if Brooks hits his head he might try Wagner instead of Lopez.

It'd be also nice to see some small ball with Hachimura as C but that's unlikely.

Miami played in the NBA finals just few months ago but have had a slow start to the new season. They've had 2 days off and they lost their last game: at home against Boston, 107-105. Their starting unit was

Herro
Butler
Robinson
Adebayo
Olynyk

Dragic/Bradley/Iguodala/Achiuwa played off the bench.

Miami should win this and every Wiz fan should root for a L. It's time to get rid of Brooks.

You would think after dropping to 2-8 and dead last in the NBA below Detroit and Minnesota, the team would fire Brooks on Sunday. I honestly don't know if they will even fire him until the end of the season though.

The wiz waited until they started 2-15 to fire Flip Saunders in 2012. Eddie Jordan was fired after a 1-10 start in 2009. Wittman wasn't fired until after the season in 2016 because the team wasn't that bad, they were 41-41 and never dropped much lower than 4-5 games below .500 at any point in the season IIRC

don't quote me on this, but I believe both Wittman and Saunders had one more year remaining on their contracts when they were fired, Jordan was in his final year, so we are definitely in that territory where Brooks is about done.

Mathews had his biggest game vs Miami last year. Knowing that he probably won't see the court

Just opened a stream and Bryant was down holding his knee or something. If he's seriously hurt then it's absolutely time to fire Brooks, trade Beal and so on... But hopefully he'll be fine!!
