Not a lot you can improve aside of SF position.
Starting 5 is set, than you have 2 veterans in Teague and Theis who Brad trusts. 3 youngsters in both Williamses and Prichard who already proved they can play... That's 10 guys plus Semi with his improved 3pt shot.
Really now the last question is Langford or Nesmith for back up sg/sf minutes OR a veteran wing via trade/Tpe.

It is purely Kemba liquidation.
Also gives us the possibility of S&Ts with Adams and/or Oubre.

And losing Langford in the process too. Also who in the **** is going to give us anything for Oubre when the only shot he can make is a dunk??
Adams we can maybe get two seconds. At best. But with so many teams having cap space, why would they give us anything?
This is just bad all around. Makes us worse now and in the future, unless Kemba just can't play anymore.

Well, you are only as strong as your weakest link, and Kemba's knee is not that strong. Do the deal or not, but get outta here with acting like liquidating Kemba not a consideration. He's been shut down for extended periods two seasons in a row, and was a shell of himself in the bubble. If it happens again, we are stuck with the dude, and it could wreck our chances of doing anything with Tatum and Jaylen.

Kemba played well in the playoffs last year, and he wasn’t shut down last season. Trading Kemba for Steve **** Adams is about the surest way to kill this core and destroy the Celtics for the 2020s.

That NBA analysis article is interesting. I would certainly think hard about a Kemba for Herro trade. Sets us back now but in a few years when Tatum and Brown are in their prime having Herro would be tits.
Pass on Steve Adam’s tho. We already have too many centers. Brad would be playing 2 centers 48 mpg.
If Kemba looks good and we want to make a win now move what about Harrison Barnes for Romeo and Nesmith. 2 lotto picks and a TPE is probably the best the kings could get.

I might eat crow for this in a few months if Kemba comes back healthy and starts tearing it up. But consider me on-board the "we need to move on from Kemba before we can't" train. Even if it means a step back in the near term.

Sorry, but how is Steven Adams a dinosaur? Isn't he only 27? Has he regressed in his prime years? I haven't really seen much of him recently so I honestly have no idea.

Idgaf if Romeo looks like basketball Jesus....that’s a bs excuse not to add something to the bench via the kanter tpe or another way. I understand waiting on the full tpe but please spare me this we are waiting on Romeo Langford bs.

100% need to move on from kemba’s deal so we agree there. I’d probably pass on that deal but agree with the reasoning. I’d roll the dice and see if he can finish this year on a high note and then sell him higher but I totally understand the risk. If he comes back and he can’t finish the year or he looks terrible- it’s not moveable without picks attached.

I'm definitely in the move kemba camp but not for Adams. I'd want at least a 1st round pick

All star players are traded for fair value? I didn't realize that, well I guess you and Afam have taught me a thing or two.
There’s a lot you haven’t realized -like gay jokes in 2021 are really deplorable, outdated and say more about you then anything else and not in a positive way. That blatantly lying for likes and attention on the gb is pretty lame.
So we can just add this to list. No big deal
A lot of snowflakes around here. When it looks like you're not right in your basketball argument you gotta make it personal and attack me. C'mon now. No one is talking about gay jokes or "gb"

The irony here is you said I was basically stating the obvious about saying all star trades return fair value- so that actually makes me right on my basketball argument.

I hear ya guys on the trade Kemba talk. It is a fine line to walk. One one hand, maybe he will be ok. We do need more scoring and he certainly fits the culture. One the other hand he is paid a lot and his health could go at any time. The key would be to find a good trade, not a fire sale. We need him to come back and play well and then for Danny to quietly shop him, see what he can get.
While his value has surely went down in a big way, lets not pretend like he's a negative asset.

You guys were saying, all trades for stars have to be fair value. The idea that we MUST trade Brown to get Harden has been said on here at least 100 times by you and Afam alone. Maybe it's true maybe it's not. When a star gets traded its about what they can get at the moment and how bad they want to trade him. It's not really about a fair market value or about what other stars have gone for. Sometimes you get a lot back sometimes you get very little. This idea that anyone here knows whats really going on is just silly.
I think what has happened in the past few weeks, is people have been saying some version of: "Don't be silly, trade Brown for a top player" and in that time Brown has played better and better. People tend to get locked into their arguments and a bit salty. Hense the personal attacks.
Anyways, to move the conversation: I'd say Tatum Brown and Smart are all individually worth more than Harden when you factor in talent, age, contract, fit and risk. If you just look at talent alone, they are quickly closing the gap. 3 ECF in 4 years with basically just these 3 guys. All young, all improving every year- heck it seems like every game.

None of our three main centers is particularly durable. Keep them all.
Besides, it's not at all obvious that Thompson is better than Theis.

well i agree, especially R.will is injury prone, but i think the J’s needs help asap. They would probably be burned out by mid season if this continues. We could always snag someone to be our 4th or 5th big to play behind TT, R.Will, Tacko and G.Will easily, than get quality wings. I think we can easily find trade partners for Theis while he still has value.
