If the Wizards keep losing, we just might see a Bradley Beal trade request before the deadline. The man is not happy scoring 60 points in a loss.

THJ + RIchardson + Brunson + 2 picks for Beal. Does Washington bite?

They just lost Fultz so it’s possible they may be interested in Brunson.

Brunson + Johnson to salary match.

If Orlando wants a PG so much they should just tank. The top 3 picks next year are point guards. Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green both fit what they need.

Orlando is 6-4 and currently 4th in the East....why would they want to tank?

Personally I don't think we have anyone the Wizards would want in a trade deal for Beal other than Luka.
The fact Beal scores 60 points makes his value go up even more so they'll want young budding stars AND picks for him.
I think they would get better offers from several other teams. Unfortunately NO might be a nice trade partner for them.

The same could be said for the Knicks. There were a ton of teams who others thought had a better offer than Dennis Smith for KP (along with expiring contracts and picks). But these things happen in the NBA.

Different situation though. Knicks absolutely could’ve gotten more for KP than what we gave them had they actually shopped around. By all accounts, Dallas was the only team they called though, knowing we wanted him.

If Washington actually shops Beal, I’d expect him to fetch around what Jrue and PG were worth in their trades, and I don’t think Dallas has enough to make that happen

I'm more interested in Zach Lavine or Victor Oladipo for that package. I'm also fine with Drummond without any 1sts involved.

I don't think the Mavs can offer any 1st round picks. But THJ looks like he has more value than an expiring contract now. He is putting up some impressive numbers this season.

I hope not. If Beal hits the market (Big If), Donnie needs to offer 4 first round picks and/or pick swaps. Similar to what OKC got for PG13.

As much as we hate to admit it, Beal might be the only real star that's attainable (by Dallas standards). No one really wants to come to Dallas. Not even Jae Crowder. So I'd go for the sure thing and not wait for another decade of saving cap space. We can only hope that Luka is as patient as Dirk taking paycut after paycut just to get Vince Carter, Monta Ellis etc. I personally dont think Luka is as patient. It's all about image for kids today. Dirk, Duncan and Kobe were built from a different cloth. Thr Lebron era needs to be all about online image, what you wear and how many rings you have teaming up with different stars. It's just a different time now.

I think now is the time to trade THJ while his value is up. You always try to sell high. DSJ also had a triple double against San Antonio then we traded him for KP. Never got close to one to-date and would only play like 8 minutes per game after. That's selling high.

Players will absolutely want to come to Dallas to play with Luka. The difference for why we couldn’t sign marquee guys then versus now is that Dirk was 12 years older than Luka at the time when we finally had max cap space and no one wants to play with an aging star. Unfortunately there just aren’t many impressive free agents left this year and I don’t think Dallas should keep waiting year after year to try and get one. But you’re right... Dallas should tell Washington to name their price for Beal as long as it doesn’t include KP or Luka

I sure hope you're right, buddy. I'm with ya.

These 25 to 30 year old superstars today, they were kids in the 90s. That means nobody was cheering for the Mavs then as they weren't winning as much games compared to the 2000s teams of Dirk and Nash. And as an American superstar, there is a higher chance you'd want to play with American superstars like Lebron and KD over two Europeans, not to mention, playing in LA where the weather is nice.

Chris Bosh said it best in an interview. He's from Dallas and back then nobody was a Mavs fan. Now you see people wearing Mavs jerseys outside which is great.

Washington Wizards center Thomas Bryant suffered a torn ACL today. Washington doesnt have much big men. Anything we can offer them for Beal? Ideally a package of players that gets back a wing player (to replace Beal and play off Westbrook), a big man (to replace Thomas Bryant) and some picks maybe.

Have WCS, Boban, Powell, and Maxi all of a sudden become good big men

unfortunately I don't think it's realistic to catch Beal..my target, if Hornets go down, is Hayward.

Powell + Johnson + Green for Hayward + 2 Ronda21

. Hornets saves money and gets a prospect (Green) - Rick isn't playing it anyway.

Mavs get 3 legit star, fit perfect.
You can handle.
Can shoot.
Can defend.
It has a good size.

Maybe a 3 way deal with Cleveland that includes Drummond? He gets sent somewhere and we get something back.

The thing with Cleveland is they dont want to take in huge salary as they arent in contention for anything. Send them THJ + someone else solves that as THJ's contract expires this season. THJ+ RIchardson maybe?

Even though Beal is a better player than Jrue I don’t see any team giving up what the Bucks gave up for Jrue. That was a different circumstance too. The Bucks were desperate because they HAD to make a move to show Giannis they are trying to improve the team. If they didn’t make that move he likely doesn’t sign the super max.

Wouldnt pay that for it. Reason we want to trade for someone is to be able to keep those guys and get another player, not getting rid of our good guys for another.

Powell + some combination of green/terry/brunson and maybe 25 1st is max for hayward imo, then resign richardson and thj in the summer
