I do hope someone investigates her election results along with McConnell and Graham. It didn't add up

What happened to “WE”? Don’t you want to work together with centrist republican Susan Collins?

Who's "we"? As I understand things, the Democrats want to get some things done. They don't.

My suggestion has been to make these ass-holes pay a political price and not to make nice with them. Make them lose House and Senate seats. Fill both chambers with Democrats. Don't put your arm around them.

"WE" are the United States. And honestly, you sound just like one of "Them". Just because you were around for the Civil War doesnt mean "we" have to create another one. Were supposed to be better than "Them".

First, I take exception to your impugning my institutional memory.

Second, there needs to be a partner in order for there to be a “we.” They have proven that they don’t want to partner with us over and over again. I’m not sure what further proof you need.

Are you against using the 14th Amendment to remove those legislators who supported this insurrection or are they are “partners”?

Things dont have to stay the same. Obviously there were some very wrongful people in the Republican Party. But you cant lay waste to the whole party because of the **** handful. The ideology that there can only be one party is so far fetched that its beyond delusional. Absolutely the ones who supported and fueled this chaos need to be held accountable. But that doesn't mean we have to stay the same and do back to them what they did to us the last 4 years. Joe has many years of service in our capital and I have faith he will be a fairer and empathetic POTUS. Hes not going to refuse aid to Republican states. Hes not going to favor Democratic states. Hes going to govern like real Presidents have done before. If the 2 party's cant work together we will never heal. Your acting like the last 4 years were the last 40 and that just isnt so.

The whole lets do to them what they did to us shtick is counter productive. We need to start somewhere, and it needs to happen soon.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

It is more grist for the mill I suppose, but I've never put much stock in his opinion after he failed to resign in protest instead of lying for the Bush administration at the United Nations

So Biden isn’t able to get the Iranians to agree to a nuclear arms deal? What happened to saving the soul of the world?

Read the thread. Anything you could possibly consider a viable American identity premised on freedom and tolerance is endangered. The moral standards of a good segment of the population has degraded to the point of no return.

There is no philsophical golden mean for those who can so easily descend into mob consciousness and be swept away with the passions of the moment. You do not blithely encourage stringing up your enemies because they defeated you in a fair democratic election if you believe in the golden mean of fair play.

This is savagery. It is strictly do unto others because they resent being denied something they have not earned. People with honor accept their losses with dignity. There is no dignity left among Trumpers and pretty much the whole of the GOP it appears.

The only appropriate response is to clear the bureaucracy of these traitors and purge the Nazis from any role in law enforcement.

Not for nothing Biden should see if he is open to a roll with low consequences like an ambassadorship or security advisor role.

If Pence is going to take action it is going to have to happen within 48 hours or impeachment will proceed.

If he fails to proceed, he'll go down in history as a coward who was derelict in their duty to defend the nation from a madman. He will in the true meaning of the word be a cuckold.

I'm sure he's afraid of being hunted by MAGAts for the rest of his life if he removes Trump, but I think he already has that problem anyway.

The irony for Pence is if he does invoke the 25th I believe he may then be entitled to secret service protection for life as a POTUS. That's a deal he actually shouldnt pass up since he's going to want to feel safe after this.
